Bernie Sanders Says He Wants To Give Boston Marathon Bomber The Right To Vote In Jail

Bernie Sanders had his town hall tonight on CNN in Manchester, and a woman got up and asked him this question:

“You have said that people with felony convictions should be allowed to vote while in prison. Does this mean that you would support enfranchising people like the Boston Marathon bomber?”

Seems like a pretty simple answer – “No, Jafar the terrorist can’t vote in prison because he killed an 8 year old boy and a police officer, and permanently disfigured dozens of other innocent people, including the 8 year old boy’s 6 year old sister.”

At least that’s what a normal person would say. Instead Bernie did this:

“I think the right to vote is inherent to our democracy. Yes, even for terrible people. Because once you start chipping away and say, ‘oh, that person did that,’ and you don’t let them vote, you’re running down a slippery slope. I do believe that even if they are in jail, they’re paying their price to society, but that shouldn’t take away their inherent American right to participate in democracy.”

After he championed for additional rights for murderers and rapists Chris Cuomo gave him a chance to take it back and questioned him again to make sure that was what he meant. Cuomo isn’t stupid, and he knows that if Bernie gets the nomination then a soundbite like that is not going to help him take back Pennsylvania and Michigan. Nevertheless, Bernie stuck by his words.

This is the current state of Bernie Sanders and the left in a nutshell. Their campaign platform includes giving the right to vote to the Boston Marathon bomber. The girl’s reaction was priceless:

“This dude is crazy.”

It’s really not a “slippery slope” at all. If you’re in jail for murdering people you don’t get to vote. That’s it. You don’t have to go any further. Murderers and rapists don’t get to vote because they’re prisoners. They don’t pay taxes, they don’t contribute to society. They exist isolated from civilized society because we’re not allowed to use the gallows any more and we have to keep them alive somewhere.

If you’re in jail for raping a woman you don’t get to vote for politicians who can vote on issues involving women’s rights. The radical Islamic terrorist doesn’t get to vote for politicians who want to stop supporting Israel. The guy on death row doesn’t get to vote for a politician who wants to get rid of the death penalty.

Seriously, this is madness. I guess politicians are gonna have to start holding town halls at Souza-Baranowski if Bernie becomes President.

Let me just say that I hate Bernie almost as much as I hate how he has put this spell on democrats who think he’s the reasonable guy on the left. Make no doubt about it – he is the most extreme and the most dangerous of the candidates. Worse than Pocahontas, Kamala Harris, and the rest of them combined. He’s also the straw that stirs the drink. Bernie isn’t even a democrat, yet he pushes the democrats more and more to the left as he appeals to this radical fringe of 20 year olds who are attracted to his never ending giveaway party. Every time you see a lunatic going viral on YouTube for screaming at someone in a MAGA hat, or even pregnant Chelsea Clinton at a prayer vigil, it’s ALWAYS a Bernie bro doing the screaming. You don’t see Beto or Mayor Pete fanatics out there going viral. Always Bernie bros. Always.

Let’s not forget, AOC is a Bernie apostle. She campaigned and voted for him. She says the same stuff he does just in a much more annoying and cringeworthy fashion. This is the wing of the democratic party that Bernie appeals to. And he’s winning in the polls because none of the other democrats are like him, so he doesn’t split the vote with anyone. Biden, Beto, Harris, Mayor Pete – it’s all the same stuff generally. They siphon votes away from each other. But Bernie always takes it two steps further, by advocating for things like enfranchisement for Jafar the terrorist, and the rest of them quickly follow behind. Make no doubt about it – other democrats will be asked this question now and they will be pressured to say yes now.

Sometimes people ask me if there’s any democrat I’d vote for. Years back I’d say yes, but after Kavanaugh and Covington I’ve seen what these savages would do with power, and I’m enthusiastically voting for Donald Trump in 2020. Not because I think his policies are as amazing as he makes them sound, but because he’s the bulwark keeping these nutcases out of the White House.

But if I had to pick a democrat I’d pick Amy Klobuchar, Andrew Yang, or Tulsi Gabbard, none of which have a shot at getting the nomination. I’d probably pick Klobuchar because her “scandal” actually made me respect her more. I respect the fact that she throws shoes at staffers and eats with a comb. It’s a savage move, and a person like that has no tolerance for subordinates who don’t get the job done. She’s also more “moderate” (which today means she wouldn’t let Jafar the terrorist vote) and comes across as motherly and less annoying than people like Pocahontas, Corey Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Beto.
