New Bedford Cop Arrested For Child Porn Has Been Posting Inflammatory Things About Residents On Facebook For Years

A New Bedford Police Officer named Paul Dodson was arrested last week and charged in federal court on child pornography charges after getting caught with hundreds of pictures on his computer. Here’s what we know:

  • The warrant was executed Monday and he was home with his wife and 6 year old son when it occurred.
  • He knew it was coming because he’d seen the warrant and told the police “I’m f****ed right?”
  • He told police they would find child pornography on a laptop computer in the basement, and gave police the password to the computer.
  • He admitted to downloading kiddie porn since before his son was born, and used peer to peer file sharing software.
  • He told his wife that the laptop was broken.
  • Images and videos depicted underage girls involved in sex acts with both other children and adults.
  • He was caught because he shared a file with an undercover cop, leading to the warrant.

That is pretty much exactly what I imagined he would look like. Luckily for him both cops and pedophiles are the most well liked and well respected inmates in most prisons, so he should have a great time there.

What makes this even worse is that he has a child the same age as some of the children being raped in the videos he was consuming for his own selfish enjoyment. Only a monster could watch a child being exploited like that, knowing that this is someone’s daughter, and knowing how vulnerable and scared they must be because they have a child that age. And all this time he was given the public trust to arrest bad guys. Sickening.

Luckily for him he won’t miss his job too much, because by the look of his Facebook posts he didn’t like it much to begin with.

“Time to go to work to violate some civil rights.”

Be more discreet. You can’t.

Evidently the brass in the New Bedford Police Department is unfamiliar with the concept of social media, because all of these posts remain publicly viewable on his Facebook page. He’s not using code either. He’s bragging about violating civil rights. He’s expressing how much he hates the people he’s paid to look after. Did they think this guy could be trusted?

This is what happens when we have people running institutions who think they’re Bill Belichick.

“I don’t do Snapface.”

Well, too bad. If you choose to not get with the times then you have no business being in charge of anything. The future and the present are digital. Scouring your employees’ social media accounts should be mandatory for any employer in any line of work, including the police.

This was his most recent post.

In other words, “Our crime analyst sucks.” Whoever that is in New Bedford must feel awful knowing a man of such high caliber thinks so poorly of them.

Then there was this:

This of course is in reference to Dave Portnoy posting noodz of Tom Brady’s 2 year old son, claiming he had a “big howitzer,” and getting investigated by the state police. God knows what this pervert did with that picture.

According to this Prison Mike, Officer Diddler isn’t going to have a good time behind bars.

And this guy looks like he’s the kind of guy you want to have your back in prison.

In other words, Officer Diddler would be better off dead.
