Canton Coverup Part 457: Brian Albert’s Attorney Greg Henning Says It’s A “Fairly Big Deal” For DOJ To Investigate Local Police Departments After Release Of Worcester Police Misconduct Report

Last week the DOJ Civil Rights Division and the US Attorney’s Office of Massachusetts released a 43 page report detailing misconduct by the Worcester Police. Some of the findings are disturbing, including the sexual allegations levied against unknown officers. But for me it was WCVB’s legal analyst Greg Henning who had the quote of the day on the situation:
“It’s a fairly big deal having the US Department of Justice investigate a local police department.”
You’re right for once Greg – it is a fairly big deal with the federal government investigates a local police department. It means that they can’t be trusted to investigate themselves, which means they’re corrupt.
Just a reminder, this man represents Brian Albert, whose crimes were revealed after the US Department of Justice investigated the police investigation into the murder of John O’Keefe. The 3K page report found that Albert lied to a state grand jury when he said he was sleeping at 2:22 AM. After being confronted with his phone records showing that he was awake at 2:22 AM and had a conversation with Brian Higgins, Albert once again lied on the stand and claimed that the “butt answered” the phone while having sex with his grizzled wife Nicole.
Brian Albert also lied to police when he initially stated his daughter Caitlin left his house at 12:15 AM, before John O’Keefe arrived. That was later changed to 1:45 AM after they were confronted by the feds with evidence showing Caitlin was still at the house at that time. At the Karen Read trial Albert testified that Canton Police Officer Michael Lank lied in his report that said 12:15.
Greg Henning also lied to the court, or perhaps was lied to by his client, Brian Albert. In May of 2023 Henning argued in front of Judge Cannone that Read’s motion for animal control records should be denied because Chloe had never bitten a human being before – only another dog.
But the motion for ACO records was granted, and it revealed that Chloe sent two people to the emergency room. Last week this photograph of one of the victims was shown in court.
Henning either knew it was a lie that Chloe had never bit a human, or was lied to by this client. Behavior like this is why the DOJ is investigating the investigation in which Brian Albert should have been considered a prime suspect.
Henning suggested it was unusual for the DOJ to investigate a local police department like WPD. He also called it “extremely unusual” for Karen Read to “smear, harass, defame” and “oppress witnesses” like this client.
He seems to now be saying that this unusual activity by the DOJ was justified when the target was the Worcester Police. But when the target was his client and the cops protecting his client, it was “harassment and oppression.”
I read the entire DOJ report into the WPD and although there were a lot of shocking allegations, not a single officer is named in the dozens of reported incidents of misconduct. Additionally, all of their informants are not named, so we have no idea who is credible and who isn’t.
Finding Report – Worcester PDThe report was launched by Kristen Clarke, not Josh Levy, and she has a long and documented history of racial bias herself. Prior to being confirmed she called Donald Trump’s judicial nominees, “white male extremists.” She said it would be “dangerous” to Justice Kavanaugh confirmed because he of his “bias, rage, and fury.” She wrote an op-ed for Newsweek in 2020 in which she said that “we must invest less in police a 2020.” She also made racist statements about the inferiority of white people:
“Black infants sit, stand, crawl and walk sooner than whites, and melanin endows Blacks with greater mental, physical and spiritual abilities.”
There needs to be a healthy balance between blindly supporting the police and blindly supporting those who accuse them of misconduct. People like Kristen Clarke are extremely biased against police, but the Karen Read saga has taught me that there are many corrupt police officers out there. More disturbingly it has taught us all how eager and willingly other officers will protect their corrupt coworkers. Nicholas Guarino and Joseph Paul didn’t plant tail light or agree to frame Karen Read for murder. But their instinct was to defend Michael Proctor at all costs. To do so they were willing to get on the stand and attempt to explain how moving your phone around in a car causes it to go up 3 flights of stairs, or how the dog bites on John O’Keefe’s arm came from a tail light exploding.
I know a lot of Worcester Police Officers, and they don’t have an easy job. I’ve seen the WPD wrongly accused of misconduct many times, but it’s unrealistic to assume a police department with hundreds of officers won’t have some bad apples in the bunch. And the sexual details in the DOJ’s report are pretty shocking. According to the report advocates described how officers actually engaged in sexual acts with prostitutes during stings.
Pretty sure McNulty did that in Season 2 of The Wire.
I’m not saying that these allegations aren’t true. But I’m a receipts kind of guy, and I’ll I’m seeing in this report are allegations. Any officer who abuses his or her power like this should be fired and identified, which is why I think it’s strange that they’re not.
The report also criticizes WPD for how they handled the George Floyd riots, particularly an incident in Main South that led to the arrest of 19 people:
Except during that riot someone through a molotov cocktail at police (for which he pled guilty in federal court) and they destroyed a police car.
Rioters wouldn’t leave unless the police gave into their demands to take a knee.

So pardon me if I’m a little skeptical of this report.
However, there was one incident that I know for a fact was legitimate police misconduct, involving a 55 year old pastor in 2019 who was tased inside his “church.”
Joseph Rizzutti Sr. was found not guilty in 2021 of all charges stemming from the incident that began over a custody dispute. Police body cam footage shows Rizzutti called the cops tyrants, which prompted them to chase him inside his makeshift church and tase him in front of children.
For the record, a former blogger named Kate “Krusty Panties” Peter wrote about this incident on Turtleboy Sports when it happened. She blindly supported the police and mocked Rizzutti, calling his church “Our Lady of The Perpetual Hoodbooger.” Not surprisingly she is still defending corrupt cops five years later. I have not removed the article because I want the world to see that she wrote it. But Mr. Rizzutti is completely innocent.
This is a good sign though. If the Department of Justice is spending this much time and energy on the Worcester Police, I find it hard to believe they’re going to let the State and Canton Police get away with covering up the murders of Sandra Birchmore and John O’Keefe.
