Athol Couple Says Truck Hit Them 4 Times On Route 2 Driving 60 MPH And There’s Absolutely Nothing Shady About Their Story

If you post something on Facebook, no matter how ridiculous it sounds, the mainstream media will publish your story. This story out of Athol is the perfect example of that.

Fox 25 News: An Athol couple is warning other drivers after they say their car was pushed off the road in an apparent road-rage crash Friday night. Stacy and Joseph Schweitzer were heading home from dinner on Rte. 2 in Athol near Exit 18, around 10:30 p.m., when they say a truck began tailgating them on the single-lane stretch of highway. Stacy says she slowed down and the truck struck them the first time, and then twice more.

“I pushed on my brakes to let him know he’s following too close, and next thing I know, I told my husband, ‘He’s going to hit me,’” Stacy said. “And that’s when he hit me once. Then as I went further, he hit me again. So I went to turn into the break-down lane, and that’s when he hit the side of me and sent me off the side of the road.”

The Schweitzers’ car smashed into a barrier and nearly flipped, the front bumper falling off.

“[I’m] screaming, holding onto the brake, trying to get the car to stop,” Stacy said. “When I got out, I had to sit on the ground for a little bit, because I was really dizzy and just couldn’t walk at that moment, very shaken up about what just happened.”

Joseph called 911, and State Police responded but were not able to locate the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.

“He shut his headlights off,” Joseph said. “So once we spun around… I looked to see if I could see the truck, and all his tail lights, everything were off. [I] couldn’t read the license plate or anything like that.”

The Schweitzers were only able to tell police the vehicle appeared to be a dark-colored pick-up truck. State Police tell Boston 25 News investigating the case is difficult without a more specific description of the truck.

So let me get this straight. They were driving 60 mph on route 3 when a truck rear-ended them 3 times going at least that fast, and this was the extent of the damage to the bumper.

My bumper looks worse than that just from parallel parking, but I see no reason to question this story.

Of course they don’t know anything about the truck that hit them except that it’s dark, because the driver conveniently turned off his head lights just to be a dick.

After they finally pulled over to the side of the road the truck (which somehow didn’t crash from hitting a car three times going 60 mph) sideswiped them just for good measure. Yet there’s no damage to the door, just the front end.

This then knocked her car into the barrier on the right hand side of the road, which magically made the car drive on 2 wheels.

The bumper also came off, which is weird because she says they were sideswiped, which would mean the passengers side of the car crashed into the jersey barrier.

I’m sure this all definitely happened. There is no chance in hell that the husband was drunk, hit something, lost the bumper, and then concocted the story that his wife was driving to avoid a DUI and collect insurance. No way possible.

They also hadn’t filed a claim with their insurance company days after the crash.

And days after that were still having issues with insurance.

Remarkably there were no injuries, despite being hit multiple times by a truck driving 60 mph, because….angels.

They found a Facebook post from someone in Rhode Island who also got hit by a truck, so it must’ve been the same guy.

Yea, there’s nothing shady about this story whatsoever. Good thing Fox 25 News and Boston.com traveled all the way to Athol for the exclusive interview but couldn’t be bothered to ask any of these questions.
