Black Lynn Pot Shop Owner Converting To Judaism Becomes Victim Of Very Suspect Hate Crime, Gets Free Advertising From Media And Elizabeth Warren

We have another very real hate crime being reported on the Lynn-Saugus line.

Jordan Avery was shocked when he saw his proposed recreational marijuana store covered in anti-Semitic and racist graffiti and symbolism on Monday afternoon. Avery, an African American who is converting to Judaism, was notified of the break-in and vandalism by the building’s owner, Julius Sokol, who is Jewish.

“I’m speechless and upset that this type of hatred and anti-Semitism is happening, that it was received by the building owners, myself and my team of the entire company,” said Avery, owner of Massachusetts Green Retail. He plans to open a cannabis business at 829 Boston St.

The walls and a projector screen inside the building were defaced with messages denoting expletives toward Jews and another one that read “Jesus failed” next to an upside down cross and pentagram, and cartoon figures with horns and drawings of other symbols were spray painted. The floors were littered with empty alcohol bottles and covered with white powder that was likely from scattered fire extinguishers that were sprayed during the vandalism. But the most graphic was a knife hanging from a noose at the end of a rope tied to the ceiling.

Avery’s proposed pot shop on the Lynn/Saugus line has been mired in controversy. He received approval from the Lynn City Council in March to open, but the town of Saugus subsequently filed a lawsuit appealing the decision, arguing that the town doesn’t allow recreational cannabis establishments, saying that part of the building and parking lot is in Saugus. He believes the vandalism is an acceleration of the pushback he’s received since he was given the green light to open his store, which he said has included threatening phone calls and voicemails.

“I strongly believe this is another tactic that is being done toward (me) to not want this dispensary to open,” Avery said. “I will not allow these haters, racist individuals, or anyone, including the town of Saugus, stop me from being a cannabis entrepreneur.”

Sokol was walking into the store around noon to take measurements for construction of the building when he heard the back door open and then saw a person running away from the property.

Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said there are no suspects in the incident and there isn’t any surveillance footage.

“It’s certainly something that we don’t stand for and we’ll certainly investigate further and that’s what we’re in the process of doing right now,” Kmiec said.

Some of that community outreach is under way. According to a Facebook message shared with The Item, Gov. Charlie Baker told Avery he was sorry to hear the news about his storefront. “You are a good man. Do not let it get in your way, Jordan!” wrote Baker, a Swampscott resident.

In 2018, ADL recorded 144 anti-Semitic incidents in Massachusetts. The majority were acts of vandalism containing messages of hate against Jews. Despite the increase in recent years, there was a 19 percent decrease in incidents compared to 2017. Trestan attributed the uptick in recent years to people feeling emboldened to publicly share and display their hatred because of the current political and social climate.

This is amateur hour hate crime stuff. Cartoon devils? “The Jews?” What does that even mean. Although the two for one noose/long knife double hate crime was certain a new one. I think this is fake for the following reasons:

  • He’s not even Jewish yet but he’s already using his upcoming conversion to Judaism in order to present himself as the victim of an anti-semitic hate crime.
  • Nothing of value seems to have been destroyed. Just an old screen and some other stuff he’s likely throwing out anyway.
  • He has upcoming litigation with the town of Saugus because his store is 10 inches in their town, and he immediately blamed the town of Saugus for this without a shred of evidence.
  • He’s attempting to smear the town of Saugus, which is much less diverse than Lynn, as a racist, blue collar, anti-pot community.

  • He’s benefitted from this in the form of free advertising in the media, and from presidential candidates.

  • He claims that residents of Saugus have been threatening him for months now, yet the Lynn Police say they have no suspects. The very first suspects they would have if this were real would be the residents of Saugus who were threatening him. And since he knows they’re Saugus residents, he must know their names. They would have been questioned by now.

  • He’s already using the right buzzwords, claiming that he is “a member of a demographic historically harmed by the war on drugs.” No doubt he will use the fact that he is black, and the fact that black people have been disproportionately incarcerated as a result of the criminalization of marijuana, as an argument to get his shop approved. Being the victim of an anti-black hate crime certainly doesn’t hurt his chances.
  • It happened in broad daylight, and there are empty beer bottles all over the place, indicating that the vandals were there for long enough to have a couple brewskis. Yet no one noticed until one of them ran away. Very brazen of them.

Most important he’s doing what “victims” of fake hate crimes always do – virtue signaling about  how they will not allow their alleged victimization to stop them in their moral crusade.

“I strongly believe this is another tactic that is being done toward (me) to not want this dispensary to open,” Avery said. “I will not allow these haters, racist individuals, or anyone, including the town of Saugus, stop me from being a cannabis entrepreneur.”

He’s the pot smoking, Jewish converting Tupac!!

Fake hate crime perpetrators know that being a victim will get you sympathy, but appearing to be a strong person overcoming victimhood will make you a hero.

He’s also cozy with politicians like Charlie Baker.

And clearly Jordan is the one who gave The Item this private message from the governor.

Some of that community outreach is under way. According to a Facebook message shared with The Item, Gov. Charlie Baker told Avery he was sorry to hear the news about his storefront. “You are a good man. Do not let it get in your way, Jordan!” wrote Baker, a Swampscott resident.

Who else would’ve shared that with them? Jordan’s shop has now been endorsed by arguably the two most powerful people in Massachusetts.

People like Elizabeth Warren and Charlie Baker have learned nothing from Jussie Smollett. They don’t even bother questioning or looking into hate crimes because hate crimes are politically convenient for them. They want and need the illusion that hate crimes are rampant so that they can present themselves as the antidote for them. They don’t actually care if it really happened or not. Elizabeth Warren benefits and so does Jordan Avery.

Do I have proof that this is a fake hate crime? No. But I have many reasons to be skeptical. And if you’re not immediately skeptical of alleged hate crimes where the victim benefits, then you’re just not paying close enough attention.
