Drag Racing Man In Flat Brimmed Hat Crashes BMW On Newbury Street During Car Meetup In Boston

A group of car enthusiasts called Import Evolution had a meetup for a drive from Braintree to Boston last night.

When they got to Newbury Street they decided to do some racing on this public road, which led to this happening.

If anyone wants to run license plate number 6GH 374 for me, that would be great.

Of course he has a flat brimmed hat. Because, of course he does.

I have nothing against people who are into cars, but I do have a special hatred for people who drag race in public. The kind of people who climax to the sound of themselves hitting the gas pedal, and are easily impressed by loud noises and the concept of velocity. But if you must insist on racing cars that you’ve spent every penny you own on instead of having some sort of savings account, then do it in a rural area. Not the WASPY part of Boston where civilized adults looking to walk their poodles in peace congregate.

I obviously blame the driver and would love to know his name, but the group who put this on should bare some responsibility too.

“Respect the roads and the rules and we should be good.”

Yea, that should cover your legal liability for sure. The group is apparently run by this guy named Javier, and perhaps he should vet the kind of people who come to his events before taking them to Newbury Street. Thank God nobody got hurt by these idiots.
