Easthampton School Committee Members Won’t Answer Any Questions After Firing Superintendent For Writing “Dear Ladies” In Email

This is Vito Perrone, the interim superintendent of West Springfield Public Schools.

Perrone has quite a resume. He played football at UMass, before going on to play professionally in Italy after college. He returned stateside to teach English and coach football in the Carson City, NV Public Schools, before becoming a teacher for inmates in prison. From there he ended up in Easthampton where he became Principal of Easthampton High School, before taking a higher paying administrative position in West Springfield and becoming their interim superintendent.

Vito Perrone is extremely popular and well respected in the community, so when it was announced last week that he was hired to be Easthampton’s new full-time superintendent it was welcomed by parents and the teachers union.

He crushed it on the interview process.

But in one of the most embarrassing and comical moves in woke history, which many perceived to be an April Fools joke, it was announced over the weekend that Perrone’s officer was withdrawn for the “microaggression.”

Superintendent finalist Vito Perrone said Friday that the School Committee rescinded its offer to hire him in executive session Thursday night, alleging that the reason was a perceived microaggression contained in an email he sent to the committee chairperson. Perrone and the committee entered contract negotiations this week after he was offered the position the morning of March 24.

Sounds pretty serious. Webster’s Dictionary defines a microaggression as “as a harmless, well-intended statement that someone that another person with a stick stuck up their ass chooses to find offense with.” It must’ve been pretty bad since Easthampton pays their administrators much less than other districts, and he was taking a pay cut from his previous job in West Springfield.

The committee offered Perrone a three-year contract with an annual salary of $151,000 — approximately $14,000 less than what he has making as an interim superintendent of West Springfield Public Schools, Perrone said. Despite the lower salary, he said he was keen on accepting the role. “This job was not about the money for me. I honestly felt like I was coming home to Easthampton. I coached football here. I was principal here when we built the school. I have such wonderful memories … I was excited to come back,” he said in an interview with the Gazette on Friday.

So what was the microaggression that was so bad that the School Committee had to rescind their offer to this well liked guy who was willing to work for less money? He addressed the female members of the committee as “ladies” in an email.

What he claims came under fire is his addressing Chairperson Cynthia Kwiecinski and Suzanne Colby, executive assistant to the committee. as “ladies” at the beginning of the email. According to Perrone, Kwiecinski said that using “ladies” was a microaggression and “the fact that he didn’t know that as an educator was a problem,” he said.

“I was shocked,” he said. “I grew up in a time when ‘ladies’ and ‘gentlemen’ was a sign of respect. I didn’t intend to insult anyone.”

He also signed his email as simply “Vito,” as he felt he could provide a less formal tone.

I am just in complete shock that this is real. If this is all there is to the story, and I’ve seen no indication otherwise, then it’s a caricature of wokeism come to life. It’s embarrassing and humiliating for the city of Easthampton, and if they tolerate it they will never get their reputation back. What do these nudniks call Jill Biden? The First Person With Ovaries? Is gentlemen also banned from being used in the public schools? Perhaps he should’ve addressed the email with “Dear Cunts,” as it would’ve been more accurate.

This is Cynthia Kwiecinski, who made the decision.

As you can see, this old LADY is a menopausal shrew with no school aged children. Her brain has been programmed by MSNBC to believe that people who recognize the existence of biological sex are unworthy of working as public servants. She’s far too old and out of touch to know what a microaggression is on her own, and likely learned about them by going down some sort of communist rabbit hole on the Interwebz. The only thing more ridiculous than her decision to rescind the contract offer was her condescending reasoning:

“The fact that he didn’t know that as an educator was a problem.”

Yea Vito, don’t you wake up every day and read Vox? How are you not up to date with the list of things this week that people like Cynthia Kwiecinski are offended by? Clearly this man is unfit to lead a school district.

The thing is, I don’t even think this is woke. I’m pretty up to date with all the things feminists are offended by, and I’ve never heard of this one. To me this sounds like some miserable hag was looking for a reason to get rid of him. More than likely Cynthia Kwiecinski just doesn’t like Perrone because he has roots in the town and enjoys football. People like her hate townies and sports more than anything.

To make matters worse these cowards aren’t commenting on it either, despite the fact that it has made international news for all the wrong reasons.

Perrone explained that he had attended Thursday’s We The People spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the high school as a way to begin getting to know more of the school community and then headed over to the conference room for the negotiations. The committee asked him to step outside for approximately 45 minutes while they spoke and then delivered the news that they had rescinded his offer after taking a vote during an executive session. In an emailed response, Kwiecinski said she could not comment on executive sessions. School Committee member Marin Goldstein echoed Kwiecinski’s comment, adding that such meetings are supposed to be confidential.

Marin Goldstein looks like a real gem himself.

He’s all about pumping healthy children with Fauci Pharma Juice, making sure the government gets to take care of your kids until they turn 25, and forcing your kid’s teacher to open the windows during the middle of winter so they don’t get sick.

Oh, and he wants to defund the police.

He’s got a lot of thoughts on those things, but he can’t explain to the public why they fired the superintendent before he began working. Rioting and looting aren’t offensive, but addressing women as “ladies” in an informal email is.

I don’t live in Easthampton, so these aren’t my monkeys and it’s not my circus. But if I did live in a town that was so thoroughly embarrassed by a small group of people who couldn’t give the people who voted them in a definitive explanation why, then I would be leading a revolution to have them all removed. They won’t even say which members are behind this because the vote apparently took place behind closed doors:

Perrone said it was important for him to let people know the circumstances of the matter.

“I don’t want people to think I was not willing to negotiate in good faith. I have chosen not to just leave it as ‘negotiations stalled.’ I would rather share my truth, my sadness and disappointment and try to find a way forward positively,” he said.

The School Committee had voted 4-3 to hire Perrone last week after also interviewing fellow finalists Jonathan Bruno, director of learning and teaching at Berkshire Hills Regional School District in Stockbridge, and Erica Faginski-Stark, director of curriculum and instruction at Ludlow Public Schools. After concluding an interview with Perrone, the committee took several hours to discuss the candidates, voted in open session and then moved to executive session to offer him the position over the phone.

So 3 of the 7 members didn’t want him in the first place, which means they only needed 1 person to change their mind. Who was the one person? Why is this not being made public so that this individual can be justifiably humiliated and ridiculed?

The way that they alerted this guy that he was hired in the first place is even dumber:

After making several attempts to call him, Perrone said the committee sent a city police officer to his home in Westhampton to perform a well-being check, rousing both he and his wife at around 12:15 a.m. from a sound sleep.

“The police officer asked if I was OK because the School Committee was trying to get a hold of me,” he said. “My interview ended at 8 o’clock and I ended up falling asleep around 10:15 … I thought my phone was on, but I guess it wasn’t.”

Once awake, he made contact with the committee and accepted their oral offer, pending successful salary negotiations.

“Honestly, I am truly, truly disappointed that I won’t be in Easthampton in that building,” he said. “I’m just sad.”

Could they not wait until the morning? Who calls someone at their home at midnight and acts surprised when they don’t get an answer? This poor guy was woken up in the middle of the night by the cops, which probably scared the crap out of him and his family. That should’ve been a sign to run far away from the lunatics running this district.

Anyway, the teacher’s union is leading the charge to hire this guy, and if you’re so far left that you’ve lost the teacher’s union, then you should reconsider the way you’re governing.

My question is, was one of the people who voted to rescind his contract Mayor Nicole LaChapelle? Because what she said to children about “talking like a white person” is a million times more offensive than addressing her as a lady.

The Easthampton School Committee should immediately do the right thing and rehire this man immediately or resign in disgrace.
