Ethan Crumbley’s Neglectful Parents Are The Reason Their Monster Son Killed 4 Students At Oxford High School

Ethan Crumbley was identified this week as the 15 year old student at Oxford High School in Michigan who went on a shooting spree, killing four students – Justin Shilling, 17, Madisyn Baldwin 17, Hanna St. Julian, 14, and Tate Myre, 16.

Tate Myre was the star of the football team and rushed at the gunman in an attempt to disarm him. He likely saved many lives.

Shilling was on the bowling team, Julian was on the basketball team, and Baldwin was an artist who had already been accepted to several colleges on scholarships. Although it’s necessary to report on who the shooter was and how he was able to do something like this, it’s more important to share the names of the people he killed every time you mention him so the story is never really about him. It’s about the damage and pain he caused to so many.

With that said Ethan Crumbley looks like the kind of kid you’d create in a lab if you were trying to create a school shooter.

I could’ve told you that kid was a prime candidate to do something like this. Or you could just listen to him, since he literally posted a countdown on IG, and his bio said “Now I become death, the destroyer of worlds. See you tomorrow Oxford.”

You won’t hear any talk about banning AR-15’s this time around since he used the SIG SAUER his father James Crumbley purchased 4 days before the massacre. For some reason the gun was not locked up, and his parents let their Manson freak of a son post pictures of his new toy on IG.

The DA says she might be charging the parents, which is mind boggling that this is even up for debate, because irresponsible gun owners like this should be considered criminals. They, more than anyone else, could’ve prevented this tragedy. Now four children are dead because of their neglect.

I don’t know what’s worse – losing your child to a school shooter, or being the parent of a school shooter. I’d probably prefer the former. If you have to visit your kid in jail until you die then you’ve effectively lost your child anyway. Their life is over, and unlike the victims who will be memorialized and remembered fondly, they will be villainized as monsters. You can never show your face around the community, and you will rightfully be blamed for allowing this to happen.

This is Jennifer and James Crumbley.

As you can see by the way they dress for court at their son’s murder arraignment, they are white trash. She’s a realtor and he’s an unemployed deadbeat who owes child support in Florida.

She has Google trophies from Florida for DUI, driving on a suspended license, and writing worthless checks.

For some reason Dad didn’t shut down his wide open Facebook page until late Thursday. His bio listed his employer as Monarch Connected, where he was fired in February.

He previously shared a blog his wife wrote in 2016 that was written like a love letter to President-Elect Trump.

In the blog she expressed that she was one of those Trump Democrats that helped him win Michigan back for the first time since the 1980’s. She said she was a pro-choice feminist and a supporter of the LGBT community, but couldn’t vote for Hillary. Ultimately she cast her ballot for Trump because:

  • She was upset with common core
  • She said he sucked at debating but believed he was more genuine than Hillary
  • She was sick of illegal immigrant’s kids getting free tablets while her son struggled in school
  • She liked the fact that he seemed like a regular person and had tried and failed at business
  • She thought Congress could check his powers if he tried to nuke China
  • She thought he would go after Big Pharma and drive down healthcare costs
  • She wanted him to stop sending foreign aid and start using that money on veterans
  • She supported gun rights and the Second Amendment

The blog has been pulled down, but was signed, “A hardworking Middle Class Law Abiding Citizen who is sick of getting f***** in the a** and would rather be grabbed by the p****.”

She was one of those working class families that didn’t have much who voted for Trump because she viewed Hillary as an elitist:

She also wrote that her husband had “suffered a stroke and a broken back and we were with just my income. Do you know how hard it is to support a family on only $40,000 a year? I couldn’t qualify for State Aid. I made to [sic] much.

You’re making $40K a year, complaining that you don’t qualify for welfare, and you’re buying guns? She must be a pretty mediocre realtor if that’s their combined income.

Video from inside one classroom, where students were hiding as part of their active shooter training, shows what students believed to be Ethan Crumbley pretending to be a Sheriff’s Deputy in order to get the teacher to open the door. They thought something was up and the kids all jumped out the window, but it was in fact a Sheriff’s Deputy.

Those drills saved lives.

On the Dad’s Facebook page he had one video shot by Ethan showing Dad playing a prank on Mom.

Another video shows a younger Ethan eating spicy food, and he seemed like a perfectly happy, albeit nerdy looking boy.

Ethan also uploaded videos to his Dad’s YouTube channel, mostly about video games.

It’s surreal watching those because he seems like such an innocent kid. Then puberty kicked in and he started rebelling. It’s why I never want my kids to become teenagers – I don’t want them to lose their innocence.

On the day he killed 4 students Ethan’s parents had a meeting with the principal at 10 AM to talk about his behavior problems. Three hours later he went into the bathroom and emerged holding the gun, which somehow his father didn’t realize was missing. Ethan Crumbley might’ve been born in innocence, but along the way he became a monster and his parents didn’t notice.

This was all avoidable, and things could happen to help prevent the next school shooting, but nothing will change so long as the debate revolves around gun control. We will never get rid of guns or access to them in this country. Any time spent debating that is time that could be spent looking for solutions. Ethan Crumbley didn’t hide the fact that he was dangerous, but his parents didn’t notice because they weren’t paying attention. If you don’t want your kid to become the next school shooter:

  • Monitor their social media accounts like a hawk
  • Don’t allow them to have access to your firearms
  • Stop letting them sit alone and play video games and encourage them to play with friends who do things outside
  • Give them constant love and attention so that you KNOW when something is wrong

If you don’t want your school to get shot up:

  • Allow teachers to have concealed carry
  • Stop advertising schools as soft target gun free zones
  • Have police officers in the school
  • Encourage students to report other students to administration when they see posts like the ones Ethan made

Guns aren’t the reason school shootings happen, neglect and a lack of preparedness are.
