Fake Story About Town Of Plymouth Forcing Business Owner To Take Down American Flags Shared Thousands Of Times On Facebook Overnight

Liberals and social justice warriors aren’t the only ones capable of using social media to spread fake stories of victimization. Take for instance this post from Plymouth business owner Steven Kahian that’s been shared almost 3K times since it was posted yesterday.

Many people sent us this story, because it’s typically something we’d write about. It was also believable given the amount of anti-American rhetoric going around these days. However, it didn’t smell right with me because there was no citation posted and no one was asking for evidence that this was true. I feel the same way about the Murica Mafia that I do about BLM activists – you people have way too much time on your hands to get faux outraged over nothing. You believe and share things that going along with your world view, but you only question things that don’t. The Murica Mafia ate this up.

Damn communists!

Quickly the truth began to come out though.

Turns out he was asked by the town to take down a large banner for violating some bylaw. Although you can argue that this bylaw is also unnecessary, Steven lied when he said that he was asked to take down the American flags because he knew this would fire up the Murica Mafia.  Turns out the right can self-victimize too.

Some have chalked this up to a misunderstanding.

But you can actually see the banner he was asked to take down in the background.

So he knew what he had to take down, he complied, and then he whined about flags shortly before the 4th of July to rile people up and attract them to his business.

Question. Everything.
