Franklin NH Police Ask Facebook To Identify Car Thief Who Won’t Give Them His Name, Gets Outed As Well Known Scofflaw Isaiah Hughes Within Minutes

Sometimes criminals don’t identify themselves, which requires the police to arrest and fingerprint them in order to confirm their identity. But the Franklin, NH Police Department took a different approach today when they detained a suspect for stealing a car.

Never let Webster dictate fashion trends. This is the result.

The post is gone because they figured it out. Some people were asking them why they couldn’t just fingerprint him and the cops told them that they could but Facebook is just faster. I’ve never respected a police department more than I have the Franklin PD for this move. Every department in America should be utilizing Facebook as much as possible to identify criminals. Everyone is on Facebook, everyone follows their local police page, and there’s nothing the public loves more than a good public shaming. If they post something like this it’s guaranteed to get tons of comments and shares, and the odds that it’s a well known jackwagon from the area is extremely high.

Right on cue, it took about 30 minutes for them to realize it was a frequent flyer from nearby Gilford:

Isaiah Hughes. Model citizen.

Then again, the pubestache should’ve bene your first indicator.

That was actually the 11th commandment before Moses ran out of room on the tablet – though shalt not rock a pubestache.

The bottom line is that I love this move from the Franklin PD and I hope to see more police departments doing it in the future, because the success rate is so high.
