Judge Shelley Joseph Let A Career Criminal Who Assaulted Cops On 4 Separate Occasions Go Free 2 Days Before Indictment So He Wouldn’t Lose His Job At Michael’s

Yesterday Newton Judge Shelley Joseph was indicted by the US Attorney for plotting with the attorney for a drug dealing illegal immigrant to allow the career criminal to escape the courthouse through a back door without being apprehended by ICE.

It was music to a lot of people’s ears because these people think they can get away with anything because they work in Massachusetts. And up until this point they could. But unfortunately for her, Trump don’t play, she was indicted for perjury and a bunch of other serious crimes, and is essentially suspended without pay.

But during the last few months since this was first reported she’s still been working. And apparently she’s been keeping more and more dangerous criminals out of jail because she’s not a judge, she’s an activist.

This is Michael Crawford from Rockport.

He’s got a bad habit of getting wasted and assaulting police officers.

Among those prior cases: a 2014 incident in Brookline in which Crawford took a swing at an officer, bit another officer, kicked another and elbowed another, the Brookline Tab reported. The newspaper reported that Crawford was suspected of being drunk at the time.

The next year this happened:

Besides the Brookline incident, in 2015, Crawford had a continuation without a finding on a drunken driving charge in Gloucester. He had also been charged with resisting arrest in that incident.

In 2016 he got into another incident in Gloucester:

A Rockport man who was viewed as an “unwelcome guest” at two Essex Avenue, then taunted police as “bozos” when they ordered him to leave, is facing multiple charges over the Tuesday night incident. Michael R. Crawford, 40, of 16 Jewett St. in Rockport, is charged with two counts of resisting arrest and a single count of disorderly conduct stemming from the 10:29 p.m. incident.

According to the report from Officer Stephen Lamberis, he and Officer Joseph Balbo first responded to the Cape Ann’s Marina Resort, then went across the street, where they found the Gloucester Cinema manager ordering Crawford off the property. Lamberis said he found Crawford to be “highly intoxicated” and unsteady on his feet. He reported that Crawford was also loud and acting in a manner that was drawing attention as people exited the movies, and causing passing motorists to “slam on their brakes” out of concern for Crawford’s safety.

After repeatedly telling Crawford to calm down, Lamberis wrote that Crawford instead went into a fighting stance, clenching his fists, and shouted an obscenity, adding, “Now what are you bozos going to do about it?” Crawford struggled before the officers were able to get him into a cruiser and transport him to the police station.

In another mid-day north shore bender the fighting Irishman got drunk and assaulted a few Danvers cops while doing some shopping at the mall.

Schreiber told the judge that Crawford was also drunk back on Dec. 5 when the manager of Buffalo Wild Wings at the Liberty Tree Mall called police about a man who had been repeatedly asked to leave.  Police caught up with Crawford in the parking lot as he walked to his car. As Patrolman Scott Frost attempted to stop him from getting into a car and instead put him into protective custody, Crawford began flailing his arms and yelling about the First Amendment, Schreiber said. Crawford punched Frost in the face, then kicked Patrolman Michael Molk in the chest. Frost and Molk attempted to subdue Crawford with pepper spray and then with a baton, to little avail.

As more officers arrived to the parking lot of the mall, crowded with holiday shoppers, Crawford was still flailing. As Sgt. Peter Shabowich and Patrolman Patrick Ambrose Jr. were trying to put him into a police cruiser, Crawford kicked both in the legs. Crawford also spit at Patrolmen Jarod Waterman and Steven MacDonald as they tried to book him, and yelled expletives at the officers.

Is there any cop north of Peabody who hasn’t been assaulted, or at least challenged to a fight by this man?

So the question is, how many cops are you allowed to assault before you have to go to jail in Massachusetts? And according to Judge Booty, the answer is – unlimited, so long as you have a job to keep. Because she was the Judge in his case and two days before she was indicted she pulled another free muh boi:

A Rockport man with a history of violence against police officers will spend the next 18 months on probation, after admitting to punching one officer and kicking three others during a confrontation outside a Liberty Tree Mall restaurant last December. But over the objections of a prosecutor, Salem District Court Judge Shelley Joseph granted Michael Crawford’s request to continue three felony charges without a finding, sparing him a felony conviction.

“The behavior you showed toward these officers is inexcusable,” Joseph told Crawford, 42, of 16 Jewett St., Rockport. She imposed guilty findings and suspended 18-month jail terms on four counts of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and malicious destruction of property, all misdemeanors. However, she agreed to continue three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, the shoes Crawford was wearing when he kicked the officers, without a finding for 18 months, to prevent him from having a felony conviction on his record.

“I don’t want to prevent you from working,” Joseph told Crawford, who works at Michael’s Crafts.

Crawford’s lawyer, Paul Moraski, said the store does regular background checks and a felony would likely cause the store — where two managers submitted letters of support for Crawford to the court — to fire him.

Inexcusable? Wait….what? You’re literally excusing his behavior towards the officers by not sending him to jail. This chick is a menace to society, and should be treated like the common criminal that she is.

It’s not her job to make sure that this chud can get a job. Just like with the illegal immigrant, she thinks about the criminal’s needs first, without taking into account the dangerous things that the criminal is doing to the community. Drunk driving, selling drugs, assaulting cops – these aren’t victimless crimes. People get hurt in all of them. Since when is it her job to make sure this guy doesn’t have a felony conviction on his record because it would hurt his chance of employment?

Plus, he works at freaking MICHAEL’s!! Who cares if you get fired from Michael’s?? Get a job working construction. They’ll hire pedophiles! We’re not sending dangerous criminals to jail now because they might lose their minimum wage job at the chain store? Good grief.

She ended it with this stern talking to:

“I think it’s good that you’re employed,” Joseph told Crawford. “I know it’s hard … when you have a felony conviction.”

It’s good that he’s employed? He gets drunk and fights cops!! How is it good that he’s out of jail?? If you’re worried that booze is the cause of this then jail will be great for him, because they don’t serve Bud Ice in there.

This just further shows what a great indictment this was.
