Medford Woman Offers Her Whiteness As A Shield For People Of Color Who Are Afraid To Attend City Council Meetings

A Medford woman named Rebecca Schmaeling recently attended a City Council meeting and was surprised to see a lack of black and brown people speaking out about the injustice she read that they suffered from on the Huffington Post. She is now offering to help fight this racial injustice by “offering her whiteness as a shield for any people of color.”

Rest assured, no person of color will be endangered so long as her whiteness is around to act as a human shield.

She is the hero we need right now. Thank you for your service Rebecca.
