North Brookfield Selectmen Cave To Board Of Health Mob Pressure, Cancel 4th Of July Parade Despite Allowing BLM Parade

The Town of North Brookfield seemed to be leading the charge for freedom by having a 4th of July Parade in defiance of the advice from the town’s Board of Health. But that quickly changed and the Board of Selectmen once again caved to the mob.

Masslive: North Brookfield’s plans for its “first annual” Fourth of July parade followed by an evening light show remains unchanged despite the town’s Board of Health condemning the event as a threat to public safety. North Brookfield’s plan for a parade down Main Street at 11 a.m. on Saturday remains in place along with a laser show at night and activities for children on the common, according to the office of the Board of Selectmen. The move directly defies Gov. Charlie Baker’s reopening plan that places parades in phase 4. On July 4, the state will remain in phase 2.

“The position of the board on this issue is, if Black Lives Matter can protest down the center of Main Street, on a sidewalk, all on top of each other, and congregate on a church common — all on top of each other — then the people of North Brookfield can march separated, down Main Street, onto the town Common,” Dale Kiley, selectmen chairman, said at a June 23 meeting where the parade plans were discussed.

Ethan Melad, a member of the North Brookfield Board of Health, also spoke during the June 23 meeting, recommending the events be canceled.

Kiley thanked Melad for his words, but disagreed.

Melad interrupted asking about those individuals who will have to work the events or work with the people who attended the event.

“Getting the virus is not a death sentence,” Kiley said.

Following the meeting, the North Brookfield Board of Health again publicly condemned the parade and the events planned for July 4.

“When the Board of Selectmen collectively and ‘unanimously’ call the current Health Crisis ‘COVID hysteria’ in open defiance of the health and well-being of the citizens of North Brookfield, the Board of Health cannot condone or encourage such a gathering as it is counter to the health and safety of the residents,” the Board of Health said in a statement.

This quote says it all.

“Getting the virus is not a death sentence,” Kiley said.

That’s the message that should be sent. Cases of COVID don’t matter. Deaths matter.

If you’ve watched the news you’ve likely seen the fear porn the media has been feeding you about cases skyrocketing in red states but declining in blue states. This is just propaganda to cover up for the fact that in lockdown states like Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Michigan, the rate of people who were killed by COVID was astronomically higher than states that opened up earlier, such as Florida, Georgia, and Texas.

But none of that matters if people aren’t dying from it. Zero people have died in Massachusetts in the last two days from COVID. ZERO!! Over a hundred people per day were dying at its peak, and it’s gone down significantly since.

Yes, cases are going up, but the virus is not a death sentence anymore. Thanks to people like Charlie Baker and Andrew Cuomo, who allowed genocides to occur inside nursing homes, there aren’t any old people left to kill. The people who are getting it are mostly between 25-45, because there have been massive protests with hundreds of thousands of people in every city in this state. But it doesn’t matter because COVID has never been a serious threat to people in that age group. Less than 100 people out of 7 million have died in that age group from COVID since the outbreak.

Facts matter.

Our bodies are evolving. Many of you reading this probably had it but your body beat it off. New medicines are being used to treat it. It’s always been a threat to the elderly and the morbidly obese. But instead of our health experts giving people advice about nutrition or how to exercise properly, they told people to sit home, get fat, and make themselves more vulnerable.

Look at Florida’s rate of cases vs. deaths.

COVID CASES SKYROCKET!!!

That’s the headline. Yet less and less people are dying from it.

I was thrilled to see an elected official like Dale Kiley take a stand and ignore the town’s Board of Health. Especially since North Brookfield, which is 98.2% white, allowed hundreds of people to gather on the same street the parade would be held on, for a black lives matter protest.

Does this look like social distancing to you?

And why is that man crying? Turns out he’s not even from North Brookfield. They literally had to bring in black people from Spencer to speak at their black lives matter protest because their town is so white.

Quincy Ogunfeitimi wept.

During the Black Lives Matter rally, the 21-year-old Spencer man said he was not asking to be put on a pedestal.

“What I’m asking for is equality. I’m asking for equal opportunities for my people as a whole,” he said. “I feel we deserve to be treated the same because we’re all humans at the end of the day. We bleed the same blood.”

He said he has heard stories from his grandfather, a diabetic who was once handcuffed by police in his hometown and suspected of drunken driving until they found his identification which noted the medical condition. The police apologized, he said, but he was angered by the story.

“I just can’t accept treatment like that. I’m not going to stand for it, I’m not going to sit here and watch that happen to my people,” he said. “We just don’t deserve it.”

This is what you’re crying over? Your grandfather told you an anecdote? Grow up and stop being a whiny baby. I hear a lot about “white fragility,” and “white tears,” but what do you call a grown man crying over a story his grandfather told him?

Newsflash – you’ve always had equality. You actually have more opportunities due to the color of your skin. Scholarships are available to you, and companies are looking to hire you. But instead of telling him this the mob of dumb white people gives him a shoulder to cry on while reinforcing that he is in fact a victim who needs white people to save him from racism.

Pathetic.

By the way, did they ever find out who threw that tomahawk at a black kid getting off a school bus in North Brookfield two years ago? Did they ever find the tomahawk? I’m sure that was real.

I was happy to see the town actually taking a stand in the name of sanity, but then this happened.

They caved.

Cowards.

This is why we always lose – because our leaders are spineless. They’re cancelling the parade, and they’re blaming it on the Board of Health for alerting the media, which they claim would then draw a much bigger crowd.

Who cares? Let it be 10,000 people. It doesn’t matter. If black lives matter can have 100,000 people marching for already existent equality, and advocating for the abolishment of police, then why can’t a few hundred people celebrate freedom?

This is Ethan Melad, the Board of Health agent who led the charge against the parade.

He didn’t say a word about the protest in his town on June 3. But now he’s suddenly concerned about COVID, and the Karens in town are thanking him for that.

I forgot how much I hated these people.

But what about the protests? Turns out those were essential according to resident Cate Castonguay.

Don’t you get it now? Everything they believe in is essential. Protesting a non-existent epidemic of unarmed black people being killed by police (only 10 out of 40 million were killed in that manner in 2019) is essential. Celebrating independence is not. What if they wanted to have a big rally to build a wall, ban abortion, or support increased funding for police? Is that essential too? Better consult with Cate. She gets to decide these things.

Of course if they really wanted to have a parade they could just call it a BLM protest, because the virus doesn’t spread at those. Then again, why should we have any Fourth of July celebrations? What is there to celebrate? Government sanctioned oppression of businesses and religious freedom?

I cannot express the amount of contempt I have for people and politicians who wiped out businesses and prevented people from attending funerals, then allowed giant protests and a huge funeral for George Floyd, then immediately went back to lecturing me about masks and lockdowns. Almost as much contempt as I have for people who know this is wrong and don’t fight back.
