Oxford Board Of Health Allowed Deadly Puppy Mill To Remain Open For Years, Took Action To Shut Down Gym Within Hours

Five years ago we published a series of blogs exposing the unhealthy conditions at Laughlin Kennel in Oxford, after a series of customers purchased dogs at the puppy mill that died shortly after buying them. Many contacted the Oxford Board of Health after the blogs were published because of videos and images like these of sick dogs crying out for help, and injured animals that were sold after being shipped in small crates from breeders in Kansas and Missouri.

I bring this up because it took the Oxford Board of Health and their morbidly obese agent all of 24 hours to seek an injunction to shut down David Blondin’s gym for reopening.

Yet the allowed Laughlin Kennel to continue to sell sick dogs to people that would die, and they took no responsibility for it. This went on for YEARS. The Board of Health knew about it, they saw the dog people protesting every weekend, and they did nothing. Finally the state jumped in in 2018 and shut them down.

But it took them all of 5 minutes to have a gym shut down in their town because people wanted to exercise.

Makes sense.
