Over the weekend a man named Nathan Allen stole a truck from an industrial yard in Winthrop before intentionally crashing it into another car and shooting and killing two people – Air Force Staff Sergeant Ramona Cooper and retired Massachusetts State Trooper David Green. Although the car he crashed into was driven by a white woman, the two shooting victims were black, and he walked by several white people who he chose not to shoot. District Attorney Rachael Rollins stated at a press conference that Allen had written white supremacist messages and drew swastikas.

From the Daily Beast: And the investigators later discovered white supremacist and antisemitic rantings in Allen’s handwriting, complete with swastikas. Allen himself was subsequently killed, reportedly after firing upon responding police. Authorities later discovered writings in Allen’s hand that Rollins described as “about the superiority of the white race.”
“There is a growing national, and global, problem with extremism and white supremacy,” Rollins added. “The FBI believes the most serious domestic violent extremist threat comes from ‘racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocated for the superiority of the white race.”
I’m not saying that Nathan Allen wasn’t a white supremacist. I’m not saying that he didn’t write white supremacist and anti-semitic things either. But I’d like to see them because I value evidence, and Rachael Rollins has a history of lying about racial incidents in order to push her political agenda. In January she repeatedly lied about a road rage incident, in which she accused a white woman she threatened of lying about the incident while comparing the woman to other white women who have lied about black people committing crimes.
She went on to accuse an unidentified masked white man in a truck of standing outside her house, reaching into the truck and pulling something out of the car that he aimed at her family, terrorizing the children.
But it later turned out that the man was a reporter, and on video she threatened to falsely accuse a female reporter of committing a crime in order to have her arrested.
Continuing to freak out, she goes full Karen, “who do you think you are”… well they are the press, the ones who hold the powerful accountable. She even threatens to call 911 & file a false report, before launching another racial attack against Ms Lawson… pic.twitter.com/2wUSdveIOy

She is also trying to become US Attorney, and recently undermined the Mikayla Miller suicide, encouraging the mother of the deceased teenager to push a baseless conspiracy theory that she was lynched by white teenagers. Rollins is not the DA in Hopkinton, but according to Calvina Strothers (Miller’s mother) Rollins had reached out to her several times.
In a recent interview with WCVB Rollins accused Middlesex County DA Marian Ryan’s office of not treating Miller’s family with kindness (1:25 mark):
“In Suffolk County if this happened here, we meet with families immediately.”
“Mikayla was found miles, a mile, from her home under suspicious circumstances.”
There was nothing suspicious about Miller’s suicide. She had tried to kill herself before and her ex-girlfriend had contacted a guidance counselor and Miller’s aunt about it.
RR: “We need detectives and state troopers who speak with them to be culturally competent, and we need our DA’s office to respond immediately, and one of the things I make sure to happen is our victims witness advocates make sure they meet with me as well.”
WCVB: “And that did not happen in this case?”
RR “I believe ultimately it did, but I think there was a little bit of time that it happened.”
“I do know that this family just wants answers.”
The family, “might not have been treated as kindly as they should’ve been.”
All of these directly undermine Ryan’s investigation by passive-aggressively criticizing the way she handled it. In doing so she is pushing the false narrative that Miller may have been lynched by white teenagers. At this point when it comes to racial incidents Rachael Rollins has no credibility.
The FBI and military leaders have both publicly stated that “white rage” and “white supremacy” are the biggest threats to the country today. Now an alleged white supremacist targeted and killed two black people from military and police backgrounds, which completely aligns with that narrative. It is the only political angle she is pushing since this white male who chose to use two handguns instead of an AR-15, while completely ignoring the man’s obvious mental health issues. This is an incident she can use to obtain higher office.
Normally when a racially motivated shooter does something like this you can see the telltale signs all over their social media. Nathan Allen’s social media is filled with pictures of him, his wife, and bunnies.
Last August Allen’s wife Audrey Mazzola was featured in a heartwarming Boston Globe story about how they were getting married at her grandfather’s nursing home, in a socially distanced ceremony, so that he wouldn’t miss it. In the story it recounts how she was at a Bernie Sanders rally at the time Nathan was asking her father for her hand in marriage.
How many Bernie Sanders supporters marry white supremacists? Could he have been a closeted white supremacist and not told her? Anything is possible.
His wife also started a Change.org petition last June, demanding that her alma mater Nashoba Regional High School “address systemic racism and created a more diverse and inclusive curriculum.”
Their four demands were
- More thoroughly and accurately integrate topics of diversity, inequality, and systemic oppression into the existing curriculum.
2. Commit to recruiting and hiring diverse faculty and staff.
3. Support staff in their journeys to learn and take action against racism.
4. Support students of color.
This woman was allegedly married to a murderous white supremacist and had no idea.
I spoke with sources in the Winthrop Police Department and the State Police who have confirmed that he did have a notebook that had racist things written in it. Specific details were not given. However, he also had recently obtained left wing political literature which he had all over the house, and appeared to be researching both radical left and radical right wing causes. He voted for Hillary Clinton and had anti-Trump literature throughout the house.
It should be noted that there is not a larger black population in town, and crashing into a car driven by white women would likely not lead him to black people to murder. It’s entirely plausible that two people with backgrounds in law enforcement attempted to intervene after the horrific crash and were shot because of that.
Police sources informed me that Nathan Allen recently went out for his wife’s 29th birthday, and that they were with black and white people. They also tell me that he suspected his wife was cheating on him. The last thing he said to her via text was “no problem cutie.”
There is no evidence as of right now that Nathan Allen killed and targeted Ramona Cooper and David Green because they were black. Perhaps he did, but we don’t know that right now. It’s irresponsible and partisan of Rollins to immediately jump to the conclusion that this was his motive in order to further her political agenda when it seems like mental illness was the primary factor here.
