Springfield Assistant Superintendent Lydia Martinez Attends Party With Other Administrators With No Masks Or Social Distancing Despite Closing Schools Due To COVID
Springfield Assistant Superintendent Lydia Martine was honored last year as a “woman of impact” (whatever that means).
This year the Springfield Public Schools decided to go fully remote learning despite the fact that remote learning is a racist practice that increases the achievement gap between students of color and their white peers. Parents in Springfield have been forced to quit their jobs or take significant time off from work to monitor their child’s education, since leaving kids at home isn’t a responsible option. They made this sacrifice because administrators like Lydia Martinez told them that they must in order to stop the spread of COVID.
Yet this week Lydia attended a party for an assistant principal, which was attended by many other administrators, indoors, without any masks on. And they posted all the pictures to Facebook.
So administrators in Springfield can get together and party, children in Springfield can’t get an education because these selfish administrators don’t want to run the risk that a child will give them COVID.
The woman who posted the images, Rosa Valentin, also works for the SPS and makes over $80,000 a year as “IST ELL,” whatever that means. Ironically this is her profile picture.
Everyone must stay home except me. I am special.
When will people realize that they’re being played and lied to? None of the people who want lockdown to continue are actually scared of COVID. No one is. If they were then they’d never leave their homes, and they’d certainly never gather in groups without masks on. But of course they don’t think that, and the second they think no one’s watching they immediately disregard all the rules they’re forcing on parents and kids, who are suffering as a direct result of their selfishness.
