Turtle Riders Are Really Upset That I Won’t Be Their Slave, Demand Access To Bonus Content For Free

Turtleboy has been censored in ways that no other media outlet has ever been censored:

  • Banned from Google AdSense, so unable to make any money on Turtleboysports.com
  • Banned from using Venmo and PayPal
  • Banned from monetizing our YouTube channel
  • Lost all of my local advertisers due to ongoing harassment campaigns from SJW’s
  • Lost over 50 Facebook pages with hundreds of thousands of followers
  • Banned from Twitter for 2 years after having several accounts removed
  • Getting sued dozens of times for factual content
  • Fighting restraining orders multiple times for reporting factual content

I have the same attorney as Alex Jones, and according to him, “this doesn’t even happen to Alex.” As a result I’m constantly losing revenue while facing mounting legal bills. Turtle riders understand this and have been very generous by donating over the years. These people understand that free speech is not free, and in order to keep voices like mine on the Internet we need your financial support.

However, every month the legal bills and whatnot are still there, and I can’t ask you to keep donating. It’s not a sustainable business model. I’d much rather sell you something than take your donations, and I have an online store, but it’s not enough.

So last year I decided to invest in a project that many other media outlets have, which would make Turtleboy a more sustainable website moving forward by guaranteeing a consistent revenue stream. That project would be to create a members only club within Turtleboy that gives bonus content to paid subscribers. ESPN makes money with ESPN+, which you have to pay for in order to read some content. But the website and channel are still free.

Barstool Sports has Barstool Gold, which you have to pay for in order to comment, and gives you access to bonus content. The rest of the content is free.

Fox News has a premium option that lets you watch Tucker Carlson’s interviews with special guests. Tucker Carlson Tonight remains free to watch for all.

Steven Crowder has mug club, where members pay an annual fee and get content and streams that others don’t get. His main show remains free.

Gerry Callahan has premium content you can pay for that gives you access to one extra stream on Locals.com, on top of the free content.

Glenn Greenwald, Bari Weiss, and other Substack writers have free content along with bonus premium content you can purchase.

The entire concept of HBO, and Cable TV in general, is to give you edgier content you can’t get with an antenna. You could watch ABC, NBC, and CBS for free or you could spent money to get hundreds of channels you’ll never watch.

The Daily Wire lets you choose a different level of membership that unlocks new content, but the podcasts and website remain free.

They’re just selling their most loyal readers something new.

What most of these people have in common is that they’re in danger of being cancelled by the woke mob, so this is how make sure the content keeps coming. Tucker’s advertisers get harassed until they leave the show. Crowder has been demonetized by YouTube. Callahan lost his job at WEEI because one activist harassed advertisers. Greenwald was pushed out of The Intercept, and Bari Weiss was no longer welcomed at The Times because she didn’t go along with group think.

But these are some of the most interesting and entertaining people on the Internet with large fanbases who are willing to purchase premium memberships because they know it’s going towards a cause they support – the fight against censorship. The people trying to cancel these voices aren’t just trying to silence the voices themselves, they’re trying to silence their readers too. I have a few subscriptions I pay for every month because I like to support people on the front lines against censorship.

A year ago I decided to invest in my brand by hiring a web developer to work on the Turtle Club project, which would be a platform within my platform that allows members access to things that others do not have access to. The struggle was coming up with an idea for what that content would be. I want the best stuff to be free because I want it to be read by as many people as possible. If the Alli Bibaud story had a paywall the audience that read it would be much smaller. I can’t get new readers if they have to pay for something they’ve never read before and don’t trust.

So my idea was to sell a couple things to the most dedicated and loyal readers:

  • A new Wednesday live stream on the blog itself (instead of YouTube) that only members can watch and comment on
  • Premium blogs that only members could read

I decided the best idea for premium blogs would be to publish angry messages or funny comments I saw after a blog was written. For instance, everyone got to read the North Shore gypsies blog for free, because it was hilarious and I wanted it to be shared so I could attract new readers. It’s how I build the brand. But the bonus content for Turtle Club members would be reading the hilarious messages the gypsy Dad sent to our Facebook page after the blog was written. The messages are not pertinent to the story, and you don’t need to read them to understand the point. It’s just something extra you can pay for if you want an extra laugh and want to support Turtleboy at the same time.

However, a lot of people aren’t getting this really simple concept and are embarrassing themselves by leaving negative comments on Facebook after I shared yesterday’s premium blog.

You’re free to not join Turtle Club, and I still love you either way. But showing up on the page and announcing, “fuck that, not paying for content,” is just a dick move. Most people aren’t paying for it, but they don’t feel the need to let the world know that.

“You’ll always have my moral support.”

Awesome. When I get a $25,000 legal bill I’ll tell my attorney that. Hopefully he accepts your moral support as currency.

Translation – I expect you to entertain me for free, and I should have access to 100% of your labor, instead of 99%.

No moron, everything isn’t premium membership only. Try to keep up. Or better yet, investigate for yourself before vomiting word diarrhea on Facebook.

Then there was Erin and Eduard.

Erin is the kind of person who goes into Olive Garden, eats all the breadsticks, and then complains when the waitress ask her what she wants to order off the menu. No one gives a shit what you are and aren’t willing to pay for, Erin. I get it – you think other people should entertain you for free, and you don’t care that websites like mine can only exist if readers support it financially. Thank you for announcing that. Your bio and obsessions with masks leads me to believe you were a really big supporter to begin with.

How can we survive without you?

The Eduard’s of the world think there’s “many other ways to make money.” But these people never offer any sort of ideas on how to do that. My inbox is open Eduard. If you can explain to me how I can monetize a website with millions of monthly viewers when I’m banned from ad networks, can’t use payment processors, and don’t have any local advertisers, I’m all ears. Until then, feel free to shut up.

We get it Kathy – you’re not only cheap but also very, very stupid. If you were smart you’d realize that 99% of the website is still free, but you’re not smart. You’re an impulsive moron and I’m embarrassed to have you as a reader. I could care less if you leave because you provide nothing of value to begin with. I couldn’t possibly hate anyone more than I hate you right now.

Anyway, Turtle Club is still a work in progress, but it is the only way websites like mine can survive without depending on donations. If you’d like to join and support free speech feel free to click here to see our options. The important content will always be free, and you’re all welcome here regardless if you join Turtle Club or not. Just don’t be a nudnik and announce that you’re not paying and I won’t call you out for being a dooshnozzle.
