Updated: Carlisle Firefighter Doug Stevenson Received No Punishment After Admitting In Court To Breaking Into Tenant’s Home, Masturbating On Bed, Stealing Panties

Yesterday I published a blog that I’ve taken down after discovering new facts. The blog was about Carlisle firefighter, business owner, landlord, and former selectman Doug Stevenson getting caught on Ring video breaking into his tenant’s home (a single mother), masturbating on her bed, and stealing her panties.

That was all true. However, the blog also stated that Police Chief John Fisher dropped the charges, since no criminal complaint was uploaded online and all medical records were impounded. Although the reasons why are not clear, we know now that the charges were not dropped by the police, so I am updating this story. Chief Fisher contacted me yesterday stating the following:

Stevenson was charged immediately with 6 misdemeanors and one felony. He plead guilty at arraignment on July 1st in Concord District Court.

He had contacted District Attorney Marian Ryan’s Office, who took time off from investigating the suicide of Mikayla Miller to issue a press release clarifying what happened to the Globe. Their story leaves out a lot of important details:

He “admitted to breaking into his tenant’s home and stealing their things.”

The Globe forgot to mention that those “things” were here underpants, and while he was there he rubbed one out on her bed. She’s now suing him for $300K and was forced to move out of fear.

In the Chief’s email he told me that Stevenson plead guilty, which is misleading. Stevenson took a CWOF (continuance without a finding), which is an admittance of facts, but it’s misleading for the Chief to say that he plead guilty:

“Though a CWOF involves an admission that the government has sufficient evidence to support a guilty finding, the court does not enter a guilty finding and continues the case for a period of time to be dismissed upon successful completion of the probationary term and its conditions. Cases are most often continued for a period of one year, but they can be continued for any time period. In determining the length of the probationary period, factors considered include the seriousness of the crime, the impact on a victim or victims, the defendant’s age and criminal history, and more. Once the defendant successfully completes the probationary term and satisfies its conditions, the case will be dismissed.

A year from now these charges will be dismissed, so long as he refrains from getting caught masturbating in tenant’s bedrooms. This will make it much harder for him to prevail in the civil suit against him. However, the fact remains that Stevenson was still allowed to remain as a firefighter in Carlisle despite admitting these facts in court, which actually makes it worse.

Now imagine what would happen if some random young burglar from the projects committed this same crime. Would they have it quietly swept under the rug and hidden by the courts? Would they get virtually no punishment and be allowed to carry on like some well respected member of society? Would they be ordered to get “mental health” treatment, as if breaking into a tenant’s home multiple times to pleasure yourself on her bed is a mental disorder and not a deliberate act of deviancy?

Imagine the terror and how violated the single mother felt when she discovered her landlord, who had access to her home, was a sexual predator who was obsessed with her. She had to relocate her entire life and run in fear with her small children, while this deviant continued to run his home construction business and rent his property out to someone else.

Why didn’t the DA’s office issue a press release when this happened? Why aren’t they protecting women from predators and warning others in town? Because they were covering for him. The only reason they released this information now is because they’re attempting to discredit our reporting, due to the fact that they covered it up to begin with. To make it worse the only information they released to the Globe was that he had stolen “things.” They purposely are not telling the media what really happened because they are still trying to protect his image. Is it because he donated $500 to Charlie Baker?

The Globe is too lazy to do their own reporting because they believe that regurgitating press releases from state officials is journalism.

Doug Stevenson is a danger, and should be the one forced to move from Carlisle, not his victim. He should be forced to register as a sex offender, and although we got it wrong about the Police Chief’s complicity he made no effort to let the community know that this man (who hired him) lives amongst them. I admit my mistakes, Carlisle town officials should do the same.
