US Marshalls Kill Man Accused Of “Kidnapping” Missing New Bedford Woman Who Remains Missing
There is an update on the blog published last week about Jahliajia Finklea, the New Bedford woman who went missing and her family started a GoFundMe to find her despite letting her run wild and be with a much older man for years. He’s dead.

Luis Robert Zaragoza Barboza was reportedly killed by police today in Florida, although some are saying he shot himself first.
Just to be clear, this doesn’t change anything from the first blog. My beef was always with the GoFundMe. It raised over $6K for a private investigator they never needed, and it was a clear example of a family trying to capitalize on her disappearance after spending years letting her run wild. I said it in the blog – she could be dead right now. And sadly she most likely is. This was her when she was 15.
Where were her parents then? Where was the concern from the aunt, who introduced this asshole into her life?
Where were they when she ran away last year?
And according to the fam she brought a knife to rob him too.
The mere fact that she’s still missing does not bode well. But the fact of the matter is that if he killed her then it’s largely on them for even bringing this monster into her life, and not doing their job as caretakers by letting her do whatever she wanted as a teenager. But they got that GoFundMe cash though, so I guess that’s all that matters.
