Amanda Sawyer, the West Warwick woman who has made headlines with her one woman war against the WW Police Department, has been a regular caller on the Saturday night TB Live show. However, that became difficult this week after she was involuntarily committed to Butler mental hospital due to a recent Facebook post. Nevertheless, her dedication to using our platform to spread her message was strong so her son reached out to us using Amanda’s Facebook page and arranged for her to call in from the hospital at 9:45, because they have lights out at 10. She had to use the hospitals’ phone because they don’t allow patients to have cell phones, which is probably a good thing for Amanda, all things considered.
I was surprised to find out that she doesn’t even seem that upset about it, and believes this strengthens her upcoming massive civil lawsuit, which she now claims the ACLU will be assisting her with. According to her it’s worked out well because she has more time to work on her federal complaint (which she is writing by hand), and, most importantly, she’s saving money on copies because they let her use the machine at the hospital for free.
After she called in her brother also wanted to come on to address why he was in a motel bathroom with her last week on the show. Finally at the end we had another ratchet redemption in our first episode of Around the Turtle. Congrats to our first turtle rider champion Tracy for getting the most meows. She now gets free turtle gear of her choice. I thought that aspect of the show went well. If you’d like to appear on next week’s panel (we go Sunday next week) send me an email at [email protected]
We also talked extensively about the CRAZY story we published on Friday about the evil stepmom, as well as the poor teacher in Lynn, and other stories of the week.
