Athol Man Arrested For Murdering Leominster Woman Posted “RIP Kelsey” On Day Her Body Was Discovered By Police
Last week a missing Leominster mother was found dead with serious head trauma in Athol. It was ruled a homicide, and yesterday an arrest was made in Athol.
Masslive: A 23-year-old man was arrested Monday and charged in the homicide of a Leominster woman, whose body was found outside the entrance to the town’s wastewater treatment facility a week ago. Keith Hamel, of Athol, was arrested downtown on a warrant charging him in the murder of Kelsey Clifford, 26, said Mary Carey, spokeswoman for Northwestern District Attorney David E. Sullivan. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in the Orange District Court on Tuesday morning, she said. Soon after Clifford’s body was found, officials said her death was suspicious. Carey on Monday confirmed police were investigating the death as a homicide.
According to WCVB Hamel was a friend of Clifford’s boyfriend, who she had been living with for a month. She leaves behind a four year old daughter.
On the day that Kelsey’s body was discovered Keith Hamel posted this on Facebook.
Sadistic.
Take a wild guess who his favorite sportball team is.
“The hat.” Show that picture to a jury and it’s an automatic guilty verdict.
In March he made the Athol Daily News after attempting to run from the police after assaulting one of them when they were about to arrest him on warrants and drug possession.
On Wednesday, March 20, at approximately 8:30 a.m., K9 Officer Craig Deveneau of the Athol Police Department observed Keith Hamel who is known to have a warrant out of the State of New Hampshire riding as the passenger in a motor vehicle. Ofc. Deveneau was able to stop the vehicle between Exchange and Church Streets and Officer Erick Fredette arrived on scene to assist. Upon confirming the New Hampshire warrant, the officers were in the process of handcuffing Hamel when he struck both officers and ran. Ofc. Deveneau deployed K9 Gronk at this time via his remote door opener. After a brief chase, K9 Gronk apprehended Mr. Hamel. Neither the officers nor the K9 were injured. Hamel, age 22 of 36 Prospect St., Athol, was treated for minor scrapes to his hands prior to being transported to the Orange District Court where he was expected to be arraigned on the following charges: fugitive from justice (New Hampshire); two counts of assault and battery on a police officer; resisting arrest, and possession of a Class B substance (Cocaine).
And yes, he’s almost always wearing a flat brimmed hat.
The odds that a career criminal dopehead living in Athol who doesn’t bend the brim of his hat would be named Keith are so good that Vegas wouldn’t even allow you to bet on it.
You’d think he wouldn’t be so cavalier with human life, especially since it looks like his brother Ray recently passed away according to their mother.
Don’t worry Keith, I’m sure your girlfriend will stay loyal to you while you’re serving a life sentence.

I don’t care about the rest of the article, but you leave Ray the fuck out of this. You don’t talk about people who have passed away. Absolutely despicable.
