Beth Israel Fires Surgical Technologist For Inappropriate Vulgar Instagram Video Directed At Brookline Police For Towing Her Car During Snowstorm

We discussed this very topic on the live show last night at the 6 minute mark. Click here to subscribe to our YouTube channel and never miss an episode every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday night at 9 PM.

On Monday we published a blog about a Beth Israel Surgical Technologist named Kayla Jones who posted a video on Instagram blaming the Brookline Police for towing her car during the snow storm, which made her late for work. She tagged Brookline PD in her post and directed vulgarities at them while insinuating that their relatives would receive subpar healthcare if they came to the hospital as a result of her tardiness.

“Brookline PD, go f*** yourselves. You better hope one of your family members doesn’t have a f***ing heart attack this weekend.”

“F*** you Brookline PD, I’m tired of your bullshit. If this was an emergency and you put my patient’s life in danger I would’ve had a shit fit. I had already had a shit fit, I’m already pissed off.”

For the record, I never once suggested she should be fired or urged anyone to contact her employer. I didn’t even do the thing where I say “DO NOT CALL” and then you all do anyway. I only cancel people who try to cancel others, and my entire understanding of this woman came from a 60 second video that she chose to show to the world. A 60 second video does not make a person, even though her rant was ridiculous, inappropriate, and signaled that she had a hero complex that allowed her to ignore winter parking bans.

But she ended up getting fired anyway.

I don’t wanna say I feel bad about this, because she made the choice to post on IG and a bunch of people had sent it to me, so Beth Israel was probably getting calls anyway. But at the same time, she actually seems like a decent person who just had a bad day, and doesn’t appear to be an anti-police BLM lunatic.

To their credit the Brookline Police Union said the same thing in their post.

Look, no one knows more about cancel culture than me. I left my job as a teacher, which I loved doing, partly because a cancel mob from Buffalo was mad that I went to their city and made fun of them for losing to us every year in a blog. It sucked at the time but it ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me because without it I never would’ve turned Turtleboy from a hobby into my livelihood. Plus, you don’t wanna work for an employer that gives into the mob anyway, so Kayla will probably be better off down the line anyway. If she wants to come on the Live Show and talk about it she’s free to reach out to me on Clarence Woods Emerson on Facebook.
