Canton Coverup Part 426: David Traub Replaced With Attleboro Sun Chronicle Reporter Who Covered Karen Read Case Favorably For Commonwealth

On Friday the Norfolk County DA’s Office announced that their spokesman David Traub was retiring after 25 years on the job.

The timing was certainly interesting, as the day before it was revealed in the Bederow Letters, and widely reported by mainstream media, that his boss Michael Morrissey used a burner email account to have private ex-parte communications with several judges about the Read and Turtleboy cases. Traub had a comfortable job where he got paid every day to lie to the public, but the pressure was growing due to our reporting. Private communications revealed that Traub was telling friends that the DA’s Office didn’t know the full details, but assumed Karen Read was blackout drunk.

Traub told this same friend that Turtleboy was just regurgitating what was being fed to him by the defense. He claimed that bombshells would drop on May 3, proving that Read hit John O’Keefe with her car.

Now 18 months later the bombshells still have not arrived.

Traub’s job was to use the media to try to spin the narrative away from the corruption in the State Police, which he effectively did with Gretchen Voss. In an August 2023 email Voss told Traub that Michael Morrissey’s press release (sent to her by Traub) in which he lied about Michael Proctor’s relationship with the McAlberts, would being a great deal of relief to the McAlberts.

After ensuring that Voss would write favorably for the Commonwealth he asked Voss out for a burger date.

He even promoted the Twitter account of Jennifer Coffindaffer, who constantly posts easily disprovable lies and misinformation online, and bragged about the enormous Twitter reach she had. Coffindaffer regularly tweeted out information that was not presented in court documents, that would later be shared in public filings.

Traub even communicated to Coffindaffer that I was a drug addict, in order to discredit my reporting.

There is also an email I saw out there on Twitter but can no longer find, where he emails Grant Smith-Ellis to include him on press releases. He knows that Grant is an unstable pathological liar and a conspiracy theorist, but he also knows he is useful for spreading lies on behalf of the government. If anyone has a screenshot of this email please send it to me!

Prior to Gretchen’s article and Coffindaffer’s lies on social media there was very little pushback from the Commonwealth’s side. They were getting destroyed in the court of public opinion and didn’t seem to be fighting back. Traub was single handedly responsible for elevating the dishonest actors who did the bidding of Michael Morrissey.

Now he has been replaced by a guy called David Linton, because the conehead quota needed to be met this month.

Linton covered the Read trial for the Attleboro Sun Chronicle. The fact that that DA’s Office would want to hire a mainstream media reporter to be their new propaganda minister tells you everything you need to know about how they view the mainstream media.

However, Linton’s gonna need to open up his checkbook, because OCPF records do not show any political contributions from him. Traub donated thousands of dollars to his boss, who now has a war chest of over half a million dollars.

David Linton is obviously a massive piece of garbage too. Anyone who would willingly take a position working for someone as evil, corrupt, and unethical as Michael Morrissey is a horrible person.

David Traub knows “where the bodies are buried” in Norfolk County. Morrissey would be wise to make sure he was duly compensated on the way out. But the timing of his departure can’t be a coincidence. The rats are scurrying, and in time justice will come.
