Canton Coverup Part 454: Matt Phelps And Matt Valentinas Fail In Attempted YouTube Copyright Strike After I Called Out All Their Podcast Lies On Live Show

My former “manager” Matt Valentinas is not happy with me because I have been playing his butt buddy M. William Phelps’ podcast “34 Fairview Road” on the Live Show in order to break down all of the lies that have been told about his coverage of the Karen Read case.

Mr. Valentinas, who frequently changes his role by putting on his lawyer or manager hat, filed a copyright complaint with YouTube last week demanding that they remove my shows in which I exposed Valentinas and Phelps for being the frauds that they are. Valentinas listed himself as the “executive producer and authorized representative” for Phelps, but didn’t claim to be representing Phelps as a lawyer.

But it’s not copyright infringement if you share someone else’s content for the purposes of criticizing or discussing it. It’s called fair use, which is exactly what YouTube told Valentinas.

Valentinas wasn’t happy about that and wrote back to the manager of YouTube, telling them that they would be 100% convinced that my video criticizing them must come down after they finished reading his email. He claimed we used his artwork during my stream.

Except that’s not his artwork. He stole that from Microdots, and it was used by the defense throughout Karen Read’s trial. He literally stole someone else’s work and then cried copyright when someone else shared his video that contained that stolen image.

He says that it’s not fair use to use the video for fair use purposes because I have to ask Phelps for permission to criticize him.

He included snippets from the contract I signed with Phelps as evidence.  Except I’m not “reproducing the works.” I’m commenting on it.

Anyone with a basic understanding of the Internet knows that YouTubers and podcasters can play clips from other YouTube channels on their channels for the purpose of commentary.

Valentinas also claims that I have no right to even ask YouTube NOT to remove the video from my channel.

Except all that paragraph says is that if Phelps was sued for slander for something I said on the podcast, he would not be responsible.

It’s now been a week and YouTube hasn’t done anything, so that’s another big swing and a miss for Fat Matt and Phelpsy. I’m embarrassed that I ever got involved with these clowns, but you live and learn. As expected the podcast continues to plummet in the ratings, as each episode Phelps becomes more and more obsessed with turning it into a Turtleboy hit job.

Turns out that people by and large think Karen Read is innocent and that Turtleboy isn’t the villain in the story, so when you make a podcast that ignores all the facts that prove she’s innocent people aren’t gonna waste their time listening. Unfortunately when he loses, I lose, because I’m making 40%. But that’s OK, because I’m solely focused on justice for John O’Keefe and Karen Read at the moment.

Anyway, Phelps fancies himself a very serious true crime podcaster, but he’s completely destroyed whatever credibility he had prior to this. Turtle derangement syndrome has caused him to lose his mind and throw his career away. He’s no longer the top true crime dog in town. A. Timothy Kearney is.
