I know I said I wasn’t going to blog this week, so I’ll be really brief here – Auntie Bev Cannone ruled AGAINST the Commonwealth and in favor of Karen Read by denying Adam Lally’s motion to gag the defense yesterday. David Yannetti’s historic “How dare they,” speech was apparently convincing enough to remind Cannone how the First Amendment works. I believe that the defense’s motion to recuse the judge inadvertently created Auntie Bev 2.0, who now is aware that her every move is being closely monitored by the public. I was convinced going into the hearing that she’d be gagging them and it was a done deal, and I am thoroughly convinced that our courthouse protest affected her ruling. Her denial reprimanded Lally for citing the Aaron Hernandez case, since in that trial it was the defense that wanted the prosecution gagged, and pointed out that a jury couldn’t be prejudiced since there wasn’t a trial date scheduled. At the end she got made it clear that she’d like to censor them, and she wants the defense to stop talking, there’s just nothing she can do about it legally.

Hello Turtle Riders. As you know if you follow Turtleboy we are constantly getting censored and banned by Facebook for what are clearly not violations of their terms of service. Twitter has done the same, and trolls mass reported our blog to Google AdSense thousands of times, leading to demonetization. We can get by and survive, but we could really use your help. Please consider donating by hitting the Donation button above if you'd like support free speech and what we do in the face of Silicon Valley censorship.
