Messages Show Acton Police Detectives Groomed, Had Sex With High School Student Rape Victim, Filmed Himself Pleasuring Himself On Department Issued Phone

Last year we published two blogs about a woman named Angie after she used social media to accuse two Acton Police Officers named Tyler Russell and Mike Eracleo, of sexual misconduct while she was a student at Acton-Boxborough High School in 2020. Five months later she made more accusations on IG, this time alleging that she was drugged and assaulted at Haywood Hospital in Gardner.

I found the second story in particular impossible to believe because it would mean that healthcare workers drugged and assaulted her for no reason.

A detail in the first story also struck me as odd – that Eracleo “plopped” his erect penis out in front of her in the school resource officer’s office, before telling her that he was going to masturbate in the nurse’s bathroom. Her post made it seem like another officer witnessed this and did nothing. She later told me that he was rubbing his erection through his pants, and that “plopped” was a poor choice of words. She also claimed to have had sex with Russell the day after her 18th birthday.

My primary objection to both posts was that they were shared widely without any evidence. There are many people who will blindly share unconfirmed anecdotes they read on social media if it makes the police look bad. There had been an investigation into the two Acton cops when she made the allegations in 2020, and it was not substantiated after she failed to cooperate with investigators. The fact that she would post about it in March of 2022 made me skeptical.

I had no idea if her allegations were legitimate, since she provided no evidence against the Acton officers to back up her claims. Angie had a documented history of criminal charges and unstable behavior. She has admittedly tailgated police officers intentionally, harassed the Acton Police relentlessly, been arrested for driving 115 mph on the highway, and was charged with violating a restraining order her neighbor has on her. She has been accused of pouring condiments on another person’s laundry at a laundry facility where she lived and threatening a Domino’s Pizza employee because she was upset at the price of chicken wings. Her social media was filled with pictures of her drinking and smoking weed at bars before she was 18.

Without any evidence of wrongdoing being presented against the officers it was hard to take her allegations seriously. Her accusations against Haywood Hospital gave her less credibility in my view.

But it appears as if Angie is actually a very broken young woman due to years of sexual abuse, and was preyed upon by powerful men in her life who she should’ve been able to trust.

I am always willing to remove blogs when new information comes to light, or when people express genuine contrition and a desire to move on with their lives. I have removed hundreds of blogs over the years when people featured in them message me after time has passed and told me that they were in a bad place when the blog was written, that they are embarrassed by their previous behavior, and they don’t want the blog to come up on Google searches.

Angie hadn’t done that. After the blog was written she began to message me a lot, exhibiting unhealthy mental behavior. She made no attempt to show me evidence that her accusations were true, sent me pictures of herself scantily-clad, and threatened to sue me for defamation. I invited her on the Live Show several times to share her side of the story, which she declined.

However, she recently changed her mind, and I’m glad she did. On Saturday night she came on the Live Show (35:00 mark) and we began to talk. I’ve been conned by people before who saw an opportunity to have blogs about them removed by pretending to show contrition, so I was on edge for that with Angie. However, she said during the interview that she had text messages from one of the officers that proved she had been groomed as a high school student. I told her that if she showed me them then I would take the blogs down, as the mere fact that a police officer was texting a 17 year old high school student was inappropriate behavior.

If it seemed like I didn’t believe her it was only because I’ve been duped many times before, and am naturally skeptical. But to be perfectly clear – I believe everything she said about the Acton Police Officers, which is why I have removed the blogs.

Both were forced to resign as a result of investigations into them that came after Angie’s accusations on social media, although neither was fired because of anything they did to her.

Angie had previously accused Russell of grooming and having sex with her the day after she turned 18, and accused Eracleo of grooming her. Neither had any sort of disciplinary record, so they were more believable than Angie was with her background. But the messages Angie provided to me after the Live Show changed all that, and are the reason I removed the blogs.

Neither one of the detectives was a resource officer at the high school, but they both worked in the elementary school and were known to stop by the high school and visit the high school resource officer Keith Campbell. Eracleo used an alias called Kelley Barrista on Facebook to communicate with Angie while she was a student.

This in and of itself is inappropriate. She was a child and any communication with her should have been done through her parents. The fact that he was using a fake name to do so indicates that he knew it was wrong.

Keith Campbell was professional and adult-like at all times with Angie, although she suspects he was aware of the other officer’s misconduct and chose to ignore it.

In the messages she said that Tyler Russell stopped by the school before Keith “ruined it” by going back to his office. As you will see in the message, Eracleo is a now 44 year old man who uses urban vernacular to try to impress children.

Cringe.

Eracleo was clearly jealous of Russell, who she was also texting with. He asker Angie to pick who the “alpha” officer was.

Eracleo expressed jealousy of Russell when he heard that she “only asked for one badge to roll through today and it wasn’t me.”

Eracleo played the part of the cool, street wise adult in her life who was looking out for her best interests. He gained her trust, spoke about inappropriate things with her, and seemed to be grooming her for a longer term sexual relationship that never happened. He had turned into almost a “gay but not really gay best friend,” who thought she would eventually want him once she realized what a good guy he was. The problem is that he’s a short 44 year old soccer Dad, whereas Russell is a tall, strong, and 34 year old single man. She chose Russell.

Eracelo used cringe phrases like “just a hunnit on it,” and “1 love,” in order to make this girl think he was young, cool, and hip.

Angie told him that she tried to look cute when she heard he was going to be coming to the school. Eracleo told her that he didn’t like to go there when Keith (the resource officer who they mockingly called “Keef”) was there.

She spoke to Tyler and Mike on Snapchat because the messages disappear, although Mike was reluctant to at first.

Any grown man who uses Snapchat is suspect to begin with. A detective using it to communicate with a troubled student while using terminology like “bidness,” is even more so.

Eracleo would try to impress her by bragging about owing a Corvette, a BMW, and a 4K watch, which he described as “dope.”

Eracleo was grooming her and being inappropriate, but played it off like he was some sort of mentor she could trust. He would give her relationship advice, pretended to care about her, and they talked about her MCAS scores.

Eracleo took issue with her telling Russell that he was “jellie” of him, said he had been in the game 40 years, and reminded her that although “we cool, we chill,” they were still detectives with a job to do.

He admonished her for calling Russell “Daddy” in the resource officer’s office, and said that he could pull that kind of stunt with her because he knew how to handle it.

Ironically Eracleo said that she was making Russell uncomfortable by hitting on him in texts and telling him to come to the high school. Eracleo told her to ease up, because he was training Russell.

Eracleo is married with kids and mentioned dropping his daughter off at ballet and going to a meeting at the high school to Angie.

Angie told Eracleo that School Resource Officer Campbell was jealous because she only came by his office when Eracleo and Russell were there. Shortly after that he told her to delete his fake account on Facebook.

Eracleo knew that Angie came from a rough background and had only moved to Acton in 2019. He was aware of her juvenile record, which involved spitting on a cop in North Carolina when she was 16. Like the Catholic priests who preyed upon boys who came from troubled homes where they were unlikely to tell their parents, so too did Eracleo and Russell prey on Angie. Eracleo in particular knew that she was vulnerable and could gain her trust easily. He presented himself as some sort of wise life and relationship coach, and suggested that Russell was merely a “fling” who had bad intentions because he “ain’t about” allowing Eracleo to talk to her.

He told her that he wasn’t going to beg to be her friend, despite being more than twice her age. He also seemed to know that she had run-ins with the law, as he told her to contact him if Acton Police showed up at her house.

“On dogs.”

Peak. Cringe.

Eracleo was really upset that her new romantic interest (Russell) told her to delete Eracleo on Snapchat, but she would still message him on Facebook.

Eracleo asked her who another girl was in a picture from a beach trip on Facebook, and asked if she was hanging out with cheerleaders.

He said that a 2019 picture of her when she was 16 was “bangin.”

He knew that she went out drinking and partying, and came from a home where she was unlikely to tell her father that they were speaking.

He referred to himself as “D Mike,” and asked her to tell him the name of an underage girl in a bikini on her Facebook page.

Eracleo blamed her for not communicating with him as much, said he would “let it slide,” and told her he was a “good dude.”

He clearly had a good understanding of her background and knew that she was troubled, which he told her in detail.

Eracleo said that on her 18th birthday they would hit up a club together, and said that his “boy” at Dunkins said he wanted to go to Encore Casino.

That was the end of their conversation. All of Tyler’s communication with her took place on Snapchat so they’re all gone.

Angie told a teacher and the nurse about Eracleo allegedly rubbing his penis in front of her, and they reported it to police, but she refused to cooperate with the investigation after that. This is why we reported that the matter was settled when I wrote about her post last March.

However, her posts launched a second investigation into the detectives, which led more victims to come forward. The investigation ended with both detectives resigning in August as it revealed that Russell used his department-issued cellphone in 2020 to record himself masturbating and take two sexually explicit photographs of himself while he was in uniform and on duty. A licensed social worker, who began working for Acton police in January of 2022, complained that Eracleo made inappropriate sexual comments to her at work. This social worker also raised concerns about Eracleo’s cellphone communications with Angie.

The social worker said that Eracleo told the student, ”I had to tell her that she can’t send me naked pictures, but pictures in her bikini are okay.”

The investigation found that Eracleo sexually harassed the social worker and showed “poor judgment,” conduct unbecoming an officer, and violated town policy by communicating with the student on Snapchat.

A 63 year old accuser said that Eracleo raped her and threatened her with violence, but she was found not to be credible due to her history of mental illness. However, Ryan found that Eracleo violated department policy by accepting large gifts from her. The woman mailed $3,600 in gift cards and cash to Eracleo’s Westford home because he told her that he was struggling financially and felt suicidal. The woman who lives on public assistance, borrowed money and used her stimulus money to buy him the gifts.

In an interview, the woman said that Eracleo told her he was struggling financially and felt suicidal, she said. The woman, who estimated she receives about $1,000 monthly in public assistance, said she borrowed money and used a government stimulus payment to cover the gifts to Eracleo.

Angie was especially vulnerable to men like Eracleo and Russell because she was a rape victim. From age 13-16 she and here friend were allegedly molested and raped by an Attleboro man named Timothy Slowey. The Attleboro High School Hall of Fame inductee and father of 3 was her best friend’s uncle, and was charged with child rape in 2019.

He attempted to flea to Hawaii, but was arrested there on a warrant once he realized that it was a state, not a country. He has had six restraining orders against him and a criminal record involving drug trafficking in North Carolina. However, due to COVID delays no trial date has been set.

The evidence against Slowey is overwhelming. It includes video and witness statements from both girls. Angie told us,

“I saw it happen. He used to molest me and tell me not to tell my friend. Then he would molest her and tell her not to tell me. Then one day he did it to both of us together.”

A motion by the DA’s Office asked that the defense not be allowed to make any copies of the videos presented in discovery, in order to protect the underage victims.

According to Angie the DA’s office does not find the other girl to be credible because she ran away from home when she was 16. But she says she “saw him shove his penis inside her,” and the other girl saw him do it to her when she was just 13.

I bled everywhere. At 13 I hadn’t hit puberty yet. I looked like a child. I was a child.

She attributes her mental health issues to Slowey, and her distrust and resentment towards police stems from the fact that the criminal case has now been going on for four years.

Maybe I would’ve turned out somewhat okay if it wasn’t for him. I lost complete faith in the criminal justice system too. 4 years. Are you kidding me. Why is it taking that long? Then I started getting in trouble and nobody knew why, I wasn’t always like this

Court documents show that Slowey’s attorney is accusing both girls of lying and is using their trouble backgrounds as evidence. A recent motion ended with an order for Acton Police to hand over all records of the investigation into Eracleo and Russell.

Slowey’s attorney filed motions to have Massachusetts DCF, Rhode Island DCYF, New York CPS, Hasbro Hospital and Planned Parenthood hand over documents about the victim’s past. Angie has moved around from state to state, underwent a rape kit at Hasbro Hospital, and got an abortion at Planned Parenthood after Slowey impregnated her. Some motions were denied, others were not.

Slowey is to have no contact with Angie, including through third parties. However, either he or someone he is speaking through, created aliases on Snapchat and Facebook to contact Angie and offer her $30K to drop the charges.

The ongoing criminal proceedings occurred simultaneously with her being groomed sexually by Eracleo and Russell. The Acton Police Department still has posts up featuring both disgraced detectives.

Angie’s story reminds me a lot of Sandra Birchmore’s story in Stoughton. The 23 year old woman allegedly killed herself after being impregnated by a married Stoughton Police Officer named Matthew Farwell. She had been groomed and had sex with both him and his twin brother Billy, who was also a Stoughton cop. She had been groomed since she was in the high school Explorer’s Program by another cop she trusted named Dan Devine.

Like Angie, Sandra Birchmore came from a troubled background as her mother, grandmother, and aunt had all died over a short period of time. Like Angie, she admired and looked up to police. And like Angie, predators in blue recognized that, saw a woman they could use for sexual gratification, and took advantage of her.

A few months ago Angie messaged me, as she often did, and made me believe that she was on the Tobin Bridge contemplating suicide.

Anyone who says they are suicidal should be taken seriously, but unfortunately people I’ve blogged about previously have use suicide as a way to threaten me into removing blogs about them. Others have weaponized it, and said that they would kill themselves so that I would go to jail for writing about them. I take this seriously, and once she told me that she wasn’t suicidal (the unsent messages) I took her at her word. But now that I have the complete picture I have flashbacks to Sandra Birchmore.

Angie has been messaging me like this for months, acting erratically (she wished me a happy 420 one day and threatened to sue me on the next) and asking for the blogs about her to come down. Had she shown me any of the messages between her and Eracleo, or told me about Tim Slowey, I would’ve taken them down immediately.

Angie and I have spoken extensively since she came on the Live Show and I feel like we both have a better understanding of each other now. In my opinion she’s so used to men hurting her that she was afraid to trust me with those screenshots. Instead she sent me pictures of herself in a bikini, asking if she looked good (which I never responded to, confusing her) because men like Eracleo and Russell have convinced her that her self worth comes from her ability to turn men on sexually.

This is the damage they have done to her.

Had she known that all I ever wanted was the truth she would’ve done so immediately. I also misjudged her, assuming that she was not credible due to her criminal history and erratic behavior. But I didn’t know about the damage Timothy Slowey had inflicted upon her, just as she didn’t know that I routinely take down blogs when new information is provided.
