Woman Alleges Anti-Carnivore Discrimination After Being Kicked Out Of Providence Veg Fest For Wearing Fur Coat, Having Cops Called On Her

 

This is Karine Avanesov from Rhode Island.

Based on her accent and last name it’s safe to assume she’s an immigrant from somewhere in Eastern Europe, probably Russia. Over the weekend she and her sister wanted to attend the Rhode Island Veg Fest in Providence but it was sold out. Luckily her sister knew someone inside with extra tickets, so she went in to get them. While this was happening Karine tried to wait in the entryway because it was below zero outside, but she quickly became a victim of anti-carnivore discrimination when she was thrown out for wearing a fur coat and had the cops called on her!

“It’s gonna be on YouTube.”

You can’t script this kind of comedy. It’s like something out of a Seinfeld episode. Seriously, I can’t stop laughing at this poor Russian lady getting kicked out of a vegan festival for showing up in a fur coat.

In all seriousness, she’s right. As funny as this scenario is she has every right to wear whatever coat she wants. There was nothing on the door saying you couldn’t wear a fur coat, probably because they never imagined someone would show up in one. But she did, so that’s their problem, not Karine’s. If they wanted to kick her out of the foyer because she didn’t have her ticket yet that would be one thing. However, Brenda Broccoli specifically told her she couldn’t be there because she was wearing a fur coat on the coldest day of the year.

And she actually called the cops on her too, which is amazing.

Anyway, poor Karine wanted her story to be heard so she uploaded the incident to YouTube, which she announced she would be doing at least 5 times while filming. But the problem is that she’s a bit of a boomer and doesn’t know how to reach a larger audience. She tried a local community Facebook group, but the community did not share in her outrage.

She really wanted it to go viral though.

Anyway, this is why I love Russian people – they’re so grizzled. These are people who outlasted and defeated the Nazis at Stalingrad despite being having less supplies of everything except vodka. You think she’s gonna let some vegan twat tell her she can’t go to a public place because she’s wearing a fur coat?

This is supposed to be a free country! We must end this blatant discrimination against the marginalized group of carnivores.
