Attorney Kevin Reddington is not happy that someone used an alias similar to his name to file a public records request for Michael Morrissey’s iCloud emails that he uses to conduct government business.

Attorney Reddington sent a letter to Norfolk County ADA Brandon Hunt to voice his displeasure, claiming that he is the victim of identity fraud.

Except there’s just a few problems with this letter:
- Kevin spells his name K-E-V-I-N, not K-E-V-Y-N, so this appears to be a completely different, possibly gender fluid individual.
- Reddington’s identity wasn’t stolen. Identity theft is when you acquire and use someone’s personal identifying information, such as a social security number, for financial gain. The person who filed this public records request did not use any of Kevin Reddington’s private information and did not make any money off of this request.
- Reddington claims he is the victim of fraud, which is defined as a “dishonest act that involves deceiving someone to gain something valuable.” No one was deceived here, and nothing valuable was gained in doing so.
- Massachusetts public records law specifically says that individuals seeking public records do not need to use their real name. I’ve done records request using a plethora of hilarious names, including Mickey Mouse. Luckily Mr. Mouse did not feel the need to write a letter to the manager accusing me of fraud. If there was a requirement to use your real name while applying for public records then the government must create a way in which people prove their identity while applying online. Regardless, public records belong to the public, and therefore you do not have to give a reason why you want the records or say who you really are.

- Reddington apparently was tipped off by officers in the Rockland and Belmont Police departments that someone had used the Kevyn Reddington alias to apply for public records. Elizabeth Proctor’s brother is a detective in the Belmont Police Department, and a records request a few months back showed that someone using the Kevyn Reddington alias had applied for all police reports that took place at the home of Grant Smith-Ellis and mentally deranged Attorney Wendy Murphy. It’s unclear why the police wasted their time alerting Attorney Reddington of this, as it doesn’t matter who makes a records request.
- It’s hilarious that Kevin Reddington of all people would complain about the “FKR agenda.” Attorney Reddington himself, using his real identity, contacted me last year to tell me that he believed that I proved Karen Read’s innocence. This was interesting because he also represents Jennifer McCabe, who Read has proven was involved in the murder of John O’Keefe.

- Attorney Reddington says he found out that someone had used the Kevyn Reddington alias for a third time in the Turtleboy case, when Judge Krupp asked Attorney Mark Bederow who made the records request for Morrissey’s emails, and Attorney Bederow said he didn’t know. This upset many online sleuths, such as Julie “Big Red” Carpenter, who insisted that Attorney Bederow had to know who filed the request because someone else posted about making the request 2 months prior on Twitter. However, it doesn’t matter who filed the request, and Attorney Bederow can’t be expected to see every tweet that every person makes on one of the world’s largest social media platforms.

- The funniest part of Reddington’s letter was when he said he forwarding a copy of his letter to the State Police and US Attorney’s Office. As an attorney he must know that absolutely nothing can be done about that, and that this isn’t remotely close to something that is illegal.
Look Kevin, I don’t know who this gender fluid “Kevyn” Reddington is, but you’re way too big time to make yourself look silly like this. Just be honored that you’re relevant enough that people used parody accounts about you to do public records requests.
P.S. Kevin – did you ever get a chance to answer the question from Kaitlyn Finch about who administered the lie detector test you claim Jennifer McCabe passed and what the questions were?

I agree with you.
Lawyers work media. Bulger’s defense guy Hanky and Jay Carney discuss trial on Wgbh. Remember Morrissey hired Brennan to persecute, prosecute and defend his office, as needed. This goes on ad infinitum and Will Cost Norfolk County taxpayers millions. Stay tuned R respects Aidan honesty.
Your relationship with Reddington is so confusing, one second it seems like you two have a level of professional respect for each other. The next, you’re fighting in the mud. Very hard to follow.

Can’t wait to see this circus clown honk his big red nose when Jenny the Donkey gets charged.
He is a terrible writer, too (IMO).
I am here for the TB / Reddington bromance. It’s wholesome and makes me smile. Unfortunately, it seems Reddington can be a bit of a curmudgeon at times. Chin up, big guy, we all think you’re awesome!
I’ve always believed that the people we depend on in Massachusetts—and across the country—would do the right thing. We want to trust and have faith in them, but with each passing week, it feels like they’re just waiting for this to blow over, likely because it reaches so far up the chain. Speaking for myself, I think many people in this state have completely lost trust in our government. Why does it seem like the only ones seeking the truth are the citizens, while those in power remain silent and inactive? It’s disheartening to see this state becoming an embarrassment to what’s right and just in the world.
Wait until the taxpayers see the $$$$$ in the lawsuits that will be lost by all of the agencies, and the Town of Canton. Much of which could have been avoided if there were people with courage and morals on the select board, law enforcement, DAs office, etc.
Colin Did It.
Together with Mr. Meatball, this guy thinks public information is somehow protected from the public. C’mon man. Calling parody a “fraud” and “identity theft” is right up there with play money being called “counterfeit”. Why do we keep seeing lies and exaggeration from the extended Prosecution Industrial Complex? The next request should be done under the name of Plevin Reddington.
“This post has helped me solve my issue, thanks a ton!”

What I don’t understand is why Jen hired Reddington in the first place. He’s a CRIMINAL Attorney. If she didn’t do anything wrong, why is he representing her?
