New Hampshire Woman Who Shared Videos Of Ex-Husband Abusing Family Dog Starts GoFundMe To Get Herself And Transgender Partner Out Of Debt, Claims Children Were Abused But She Had No Idea

This is Leo DeBeradinis from Wakefield, NH.

His soon to be ex-wife Jarrica posted videos on Facebook in early January showing Leo abusing one of the family dogs named Opie. Opie apparently is not house trained and routinely defecates in the house, which led to Leo shoving the feces in his face, kicking the dog, and other forms of abuse. Trigger warning – this is as bad as you get. In two of the videos a young girl is present.

This is as clear cut animal abuse as you will ever see. Leo’s wife Jerrica showed the videos to police in May of 2024, but they said they couldn’t do anything about it because the videos were illegally wiretapped.

New Hampshire is one of 11 states that requires two party consent for any audio interception. These laws are notorious for protecting abusers when their victims record them being abusive, because they’re not likely to continue the abuse if you are required to tell them you’re recording. (I’m currently being charged with felony witness intimidation for recording the Fake Victim mentally abusing her children at 3 AM, even though I told her I was recording). As a result this animal is allowed to continue to be around the dogs, despite the fact that they were temporarily taken away from him in December.

This is his wife Jerrica.

And to be honest, her story isn’t exactly adding up either. Jarrica and Leo are going through a divorce and custody battle, and she has apparently left him for a transgender they/them. She lived with him for years but claims she had no idea he was abusing the dogs because he would only do it when she left for work. She also claims she is not allowed in the house, even though she owns it. And of course she used the viral fame she’s gotten from sharing the video to start a GoFundMe that seems extremely suspicious and raises more unanswered questions.

Yea, a lot of this just isn’t adding up. If it’s her house then she has a legal right to be there. It sounds like she moved out, left this monster with the dogs, and now is using the abuse to try to raise money to get herself out of debt.

Despite the viral nature of her post, her GoFundMe has barely raised $1K.

She claims she last lost 2 jobs “due to the strain of court battles,” is facing bankruptcy, has maxed out all of her credit cards, and has been ordered to pay child support.

A great way to avoid being forced to pay child support is to not leave your kids with a man who abuses the family dog.

She claims in the GFM that she now has the dogs, and is alleging that her son was also abused by her husband.

If the stuff about abusing her kids is true this is horrific. It certainly wouldn’t surprise me after what I saw in the video. But it’s just awful convenient that she was married to this guy for years and had no idea any of this was going on until she moved in with her transgender they/them-friend.

Jarrica also claims that they/them, who suffers from lupus and PTSD, is a victim of Leo’s abuse.

Not gonna lie, the fact that she’s putting her daughter’s name in this and using her so openly in a viral Facebook post that she’s using to share a GoFundMe, is a red flag.

She claims that she lost her job of 6 years over this, along with her 401K. They/them also somehow lost their job and is no longer doing well in their “rigorous doctoral program.”

Call me crazy, but I feel like we may not be getting the whole story here.

Oh, and she’s also going after his attorney Alfred Catalfo, who she accuses of harassing they/them due to the fact that they/them seems to have maliciously reported him to the NH Bar Association. Jarrica apparently took some lewd pictures of her own that Leo got ahold of and attempted to use against her in court. They/them tried to get an order on Leo and it got dismissed. Oh, and now suddenly she’s accusing him of trying to rape her too.

So what does she need money for? Legal fees, “justice” for Opie (whatever that means), court costs, living expenses (she has no job), and paying off her and they/them’s debts.

This, despite the fact that she admittedly receives rental assistance and food stamps. But don’t worry – she doesn’t want any handouts.

When I posted some of my questions for her underneath her many posts sharing the GoFundMe, she became defensive and deleted them. So I reached out to her to ask some of these questions and she got back to me. For starters, how can she not be allowed to enter a home that she is the owner of? She claims she went on a work trip and when she got back the locks were changed. She said the police won’t let her in a home for the last year that she legally owns. She said the cameras were set up in 2023. She also claims that he abused her son the entire time they were together, but that she had no idea.

If you legally own a house and your husband changes the locks on you, I’m pretty sure the police aren’t gonna tell you that you’re no longer allowed inside your house. Even in New Hampshire. And the fact that she is suddenly claiming that her kid was abused this entire time without her knowing, and her husband sexually abused her, is a tough sell for me. Could be true, just a tough sell.

She claims that her children reported the abuse to police and DCYF.

If a kid tells police that they were abused by a parent I have a hard time believing that they’re not gonna do anything about that. Again, she could be legit, as the Sandra Birchmore case showed me how negligent cops can be with investigating domestic violence. But it just sounds like there’s another side to this story I’m not hearing.

But wait, there’s more. Jarrica also claims that the Police Chief laughed in her face when she brought up all the child and sexual abuse, which she claims she had proof of in a text message. And just to throw some more allegations on the pile, she said that her daughter was sexually assaulted, but that Leo, a detective, and the court appointed guardian ad litem said that she wasn’t.

“Then he came up with a bunch of lies and went to court the next morning and got full custody.”

Apparently all abusive men have to do to get full custody of their kids is make up a bunch of lies with zero evidence. Once again, I have no idea if any of this is true, but I have a hard time believing all of these people would look past abuse of children, including sexual abuse. Granted, this is the same state where DCYF completely dropped the ball on Harmony Montgomery, but Harmony’s mother also could’ve saved her life if she had actually tried to be a part of it. I’m also skeptical of anyone who constantly uses their children as pawns like this by sharing videos of them along with their names on social media.

Jarrica sent me this screenshot of her husband texting her son as evidence that Leo admitted to slapping her son in the face.

Not to defend this scumbag, but that’s not him admitting to anything. He’s clearly telling his son not to slap “her,” and asking him if he would like it if someone slapped him.

Anyway, the post was made more than a month ago, but she’s been sharing it a bunch lately and never forgets to share the GoFundMe.

She’s also posting more screenshots of her husband’s texts with her kids, which means she’s getting the kids to screenshot it so she can air their dirty laundry on social media.

Anyway, in my opinion everything and everyone involved in this sucks. The wiretapping statute protects abusers, her story doesn’t add up at all, running away to be with bankrupt they/them is shady, and this guy is an animal who should be in jail for what he did to that dog. The biggest losers here are the dogs and the poor children who are subjected to this traumatic behavior and used click bait for for GoFundMe’s and custody disputes.
