Canton Coverup Part 514: Commonwealth Crash Reconstructionist Is Former Millville Cop And Mendon Selectman Who Killed Dog In Hit And Run In Police Car And Lied To Police About It

The Commonwealth has 4 employees of Aperture on it’s witness list – Shanon Burgess, Jud Welcher, Andrew Klane, and Mike Merolli. All of them are involved in accident reconstruction and/or analyzing the tech stream data in Karen Read’s car. We’ve already written about how Klane is a former State Police crash reconstructionist with a long and documented history of completely screwing up motor vehicle fatalities. Jud the Chud has submitted a Power Point presentation that no one has seen, in which he attempts to do what Joseph Paul couldn’t – explain the science behind the Commonwealth’s theory that John O’Keefe was hit by a car. Man Shanon Burgess is a friend of Jessica Hyde with an extremely sketchy background, who famously didn’t know the difference between bytes and bits.

But Mike Merolli also has a very sketchy background.

Merolli’s Facebook page says that he was previously a police officer in the little town of Mendon.

But in 2002 he was a police officer in the neighboring town of Millville when he was speeding to his home in Mendon and hit and killed a German Shepherd with his cruiser while on duty. Instead of stopping like a decent human being, Merolli sped away in his cruiser, and left his license plate behind like hit and run Cinderella.

 

Mendon Police saw his cruiser fleeing the scene without a front license plate, but when they attempted to follow after him he disappeared down side streets.

 

Merolli was called back to the scene by Mendon Police and told them he couldn’t stop because he was on an emergency call, despite being in Mendon, not Millville. He told Mendon Police that he had stopped to see what he hit, but this was a lie that he was called out on by the dead dog’s owner. He was also revealed to have lied about being on an emergency call.

 

And for lying to Mendon Police twice he was praised by the Police Chief for being “that caliber of a man,” because he apologized and showed remorse.

 

This is the kind of person Aperture hires – former cops with checkered histories who lie in reports involving motor vehicle collisions that kill dogs and people. Hos long until they offer Michael Proctor a job?

And just like Chris Albert, who also took a life in a hit and run motor vehicle collision, Merolli is an elected official on the Mendon Board of Selectmen, which oversees the Mendon Police Department. Coincidentally it was the Mendon Police Department who let him off the hook with a written apology for killing a dog, leaving the scene, and then lying to police about it twice.

Side note – I wrote about Morelli’s son Tom Morelli in 2018 when he was running for State Senate and ended up getting busted by the Southbridge Police for getting a Jill Daniels special in a public park at night time. The woman’s name was Kristen Auclair, and she was an elected Town Councillor in Southbridge. She was also dating the head of the Southbridge Democratic Town Committee, who rescinded his endorsement of Tom Morelli after I published a story exposing them, and Morelli ended up losing the election to Senator Ryan Fattman. Oh, and Kristen Auclair was the founder of a group called “Christians Against Dinosaurs” which believes dinosaurs never existed. She was featured in a viral interview 10 years ago in which she explained her beliefs.

And now her boyfriend’s Dad is here to tell us how we’re all conspiracy theorists for believing Karen Read didn’t hit John O’Keefe with her car.

Aperture is a joke. Hank Brennan realized that Joseph Paul was a disaster and ARCCA was a huge problem. He got rid of Trooper Paul but couldn’t get rid of ARCCA, so he needed an actual crash reconstructionist to make it seem like John O’Keefe being struck by a car is some sort of toss up. We haven’t heard from any of these jamokes yet, but just because they’re not as ridiculous as Trooper Paul doesn’t mean that Bob Alessi isn’t gonna make bigger fools of them. I for one can’t wait to watch them destroy Aperture’s reputation forever.
