New Jersey Boomer Grifter Donna Bisbal Says She’s Filing Harassment Charges On Turtleboy For Asking Her To Stop Selling Crowd Daddy Shirts And Lying About Donating Half Of Profits To Karen Read Defense Fund

 

This is Donna Bisbal from New Jersey.

If you’re on Facebook you might recognize the name, as she is one of the many, many bored housewives who have attempted to grift off of the tragedy of John O’Keefe’s murder. You may have seen her on several FKR Facebook groups selling t-shirts that she claims she is selling to show support for John O’Keefe and Karen Read.

As you can imagine, Donna sounds like she ate ALL the Newport Lights.

Obviously there was a lot of support for Karen Read and her defense, and people are allowed to sell merchandise advertising that. However, many people are uneasy with with unrelated parties like Donna who seem to be profiting off of a tragedy. She lives in New Jersey and has never come to a single Karen Read event, protest, or court hearing. For that reason, in order to sell merchandise in these group pages you must donate some of your profits to the Karen Read legal defense fund. Donna also claimed that she was doing that.

 

 

Specifically she said that half of all sales would be donated.

 

She was clearly moving a lot of merch, as hundreds of people commented under her many posts stating that they had purchased shirts and hats from her, and Donna posted pictures of satisfied customers in the comments.

 

But when Karen was acquitted this obviously put a damper on her ability to profit off of the death of John O’Keefe. She then pivoted to selling “Freed Karen Read” merch, and continued to say that she would be donating to the Karen Read legal defense fund, even though Karen Read no longer needs money for her legal defense. She claimed that selling merch was her way of “fighting for justice” for John O’Keefe.

 

However, one of the designs for her shirts and hats has a badge that says “Massachusetts State Police, End of Watch 1/29/2022.”

The problem with this is:

1. John O’Keefe was a Boston Police Officer, not a State Trooper.
2. The State Police are the reason John O’Keefe will probably never get justice.
3. End of watch means the police officer was killed in the line of duty. John was murdered in a drunken fight inside Brian Albert’s house.

She also made “If Chloe bit, you must acquit merch,” except she doesn’t know how to spell Chloe apparently.

 

And the Free Karen Read State Police patch that’s been such a best seller was designed by someone else.

 

Nevertheless, she continues to use the name and likeness of a complete stranger named John O’Keefe in order to make money for herself. She also capitalizes on the fact that everyone hates Jennifer McCabe, so she tells people that selling t-shirts is how she’s going to put Jen in prison.

 

Donna does not sell her shirts or hats for cheap either. Hats will run you $35!

 

So where is all the money going? When people asked Donna that in the comments she would tell them she’d figure out how much she was gonna give to the Karen Read defense fund after her thriving business settled down.

She was too busy to answer that question.

But she’s also publicly stated that she would be donating to both my defense fund, and Karen Read’s, even after Karen’s trial had ended. Other times she’s said she’s donating all of her proceeds from sales.

For the record, I have never received a penny from this woman, nor has she made a contribution to my legal defense fund. But Donna knows that if you end every sentence with “FKR” or act like a bad ass by saying “I’m gonna put you in jail Jennifer McCabe,” that it will get people fired up and please the crowd you’re trying to sell your bootleg Etsy overpriced crap to.

After the trial was over and Karen Read no longer needed money in her defense fund, Donna thought it would be a good time to announce that she would be making a whopping contribution of $300, since she was finally able to breathe. She said she’d give another $300-500 later as she fights for justice for John O’Keefe by selling misspelled merchandise that wrongly suggests that OJO was a State Trooper.

 

Donna also previously said when she first got started with her online grift that she didn’t plan on making a profit, and she would get very defensive when someone asked her about it.

 

For the record, upon request she did post a screenshot of a $300 donation that was made to the Karen Read legal defense account, although it doesn’t say it’s from her bank account.

But for the sake of arguing I will concede that she did indeed donate $300 to Karen’s legal fund. The problem is that she also hasn’t shown how much money she’s made off of this. And $300 sounds much less than the half she promised, considering how much merch she seemed to be pushing and the price she was selling it for.

After I interviewed Alan Jackson on my show Donna decided to capitalize off of that as well by selling “Crowd Daddy” merch, in honor of AJ naming me that.

 

 

She would use the whole “I’m gonna personally put Jennifer McCabe in prison” shtick to sell the Crowd Daddy shirts as well.

 

And she claimed she was selling these shirts to help me and John O’Keefe get justice.

 

I’ve never received a dime from this woman and had no idea who she was. Yet here she was, using my name and likeness on overpriced merch without even asking me, while lying to people by claiming that she was donating to my legal defense fund. I made a comment on one of her posts about her usage of my name on the shirts and she reached out to me to let me know that she only sold 4:

I’m facing 105 years in jail. I spent 60 days in the Norfolk House of Corrections, away from my family, home, and work. I have bills for lawyers, private investigators, and experts, that total close to what I made during a 10 year career as a teacher.

This isn’t a game for me, it’s real life. So I get pissed off when I see people like this who see my struggle and legal battles as a way to make money for themselves. The fact that she said “OK well that was not the intent wow” annoyed me, because she acted like it was some outrageous thing for me to be upset about this. Donna told me she hadn’t donated yet, but she was going to. Any day now….

“I did not expect you to be this way.”

What way? You mean standing up for myself? What channel are you watching lady?

Anyway, I let it go, but apparently Donna didn’t. She started bitching to people she sold Crowd Daddy merch to and some boomer named Laurie Riley started messaging the admin page to give me a piece of her mind too.

Laurie said she was a big supporter of mine, but was horrified that I “harassed” a woman because I politely asked her to stop monetizing my struggles. She reminded me that I should be happy for the free advertising because she says I didn’t trademark Turtleboy. She also told my admin that it was a sin for me to expect to take issue with what Donna was doing.

 

So I messaged Donna again to tell her to cut the shit. She told her totally NOT imaginary lawyer instructed her that she could sell merch with my name and likeness on it without asking me, and that I was a CAPS LOCK BAD PERSON!

 

Donna then told me she would be filing “harassment” charges on for messaging her and voicing my displeasure.

 

Then she told me that she would not stop selling my shirt because I hadn’t shown her a trademark, before telling me she would stop selling them, and also telling me not to message her ever again.

 

Donna became very defensive when I accurately called her a scammer. She told me that she drives a nice car and has money, as scammers often do. She said she was doing this for justice and didn’t need the money, but yet she wasn’t donating money either.

 

She claimed I was threatening her, but in reality I just wanted to see an accounting of how much money she made in order to determine if she had in fact donated half her profits like she claimed she was doing the entire time.

 

For asking for transparency Donna told me I’d be hearing from her lawyer, and informed me that she had filed a police report against me, so charges were imminent.

 

Today I reached out to Donna for comment, since I knew I would be doing a story on this. I do feel obligated to use my platform to alert people of scammers who are lying about where the profits from proceeds are going. Additionally, since she’s selling merchandise with my name on them, I felt the need to tell people that she was doing so without my permission and that I wasn’t receiving any money from her. Donna had previously told me that she never said that half of her profits were going to anyone’s legal defense fund, but I showed her the receipts that this was a lie.

She already told me she was pressing charges, yet I kept asking questions. It’s almost as if her scare tactic didn’t work! She also accused me of doing the same, except I don’t lie to people and say that I’m donating half my merch sales to anyone’s legal defense fund. Unlike her, I’m selling merchandise because I’ve actually done something. I’m the reason she’s even heard of this story in the first place, I spent 60 days in jail, and became a target of the police for my journalism, so yea, I’ve earned the right to make a living doing this. People like Donna have done nothing, and then when they saw this story come along instantly decided to capitalize on it.

Anyway, I just wanted to give her a chance to clear things up because as a real journalist I always give the subjects of my reporting a chance to comment.

Anyway, if Donna wants to come on the show tonight to share her side of the story she’s more than welcome to do so. In the meantime, I thought I had the duty to inform people in case Donna Salvato popped on Facebook and they thought that buying shirts from her was a way to support me or Karen Read. It’s not.
