Gregory Groom’s Arrest Report For Murdering Pregnant Girlfriend Kylee Monteiro Shows He Tried To Show He Was Innocent By Admitting To Domestic Abuse And Witness Intimidation

For the last 2 weeks an 18 year old pregnant woman from Attleboro named Kylee Monteiro was missing.

She was last seen at her boyfriend Gregory Groom’s house in Rehoboth on August 7. Local grifters like John DePetro attempted to insert themselves into it for money, as John would film himself walking through the woods and observing State Police while they searched the area looking for her.

But alas, her remains were buried on Groom’s property, which he finally confessed to the police on August 19. Here’s the complete report police report.

Groom was the one who reported Monteiro missing on August 8. He told the police that he he kicked her out of his grandparents’ house and watched as she walked down some country road.

But what he didn’t know at the time was that on August 6 Kylee texted her sister Faith and said “He threw me on the ground and pulled my hair and strangled me. My phones at 4% if I die it was Greg.”

I’m not true crime expert, but if the missing or dead person sends someone a text message saying “if I get killed it was my partner who did it,” then the partner is completely fucked.

But Kylee stayed at Greg’s house on August 6 because she had nowhere else to go. Her life circumstances are similar to Sandra Birchmore’s, in that both of her parents are deceased, she was pregnant, and the guy she was having a baby with wasn’t thrilled about that.

Kylee texted her sister Faith on August 7 at 1:46 PM telling her that she was going to stay at Greg’s house again that night. This was the last anyone heard from her.

Kylee posted on Tik Tok almost daily, so when the posts stop it was indicative that something was very wrong. Many of her posts were glorifying Groom, who is appropriately named since he is 22 and began dating her while she was still in high school.

Groom initially told police that he thought Kylee was lying about being pregnant, and only came up with the lie because he attempted to end the relationship.

As someone who has been in that exact position before, I understand the stress a fake pregnancy can cause. But the problem is that she wasn’t faking it. He just didn’t wanna have a baby and was too lazy to pull out. And since she’s not there to defend herself Groom made her out to be the crazy one with police.

Groom said everything to police that you absolutely SHOULD NOT SAY if you don’t want to be considered the prime suspect in your pregnant girlfriend’s disappearance. He told investigators that he had daily arguments with her and that she accused him of cheating on her with someone named Anna.

In other words, he handed the police a motive on a silver platter, and admitted that their relationship was volatile. Anna appears to be Kylee’s close friend and is featured in many of her Tik Toks.

After being confronted with the text message Kylee sent her sister about Groom being the one who killed her, he went on to further implicate himself, thinking that it was actually good for him, by admitting that he grabbed her arms so she would be forced to put the phone down and talk to him.

This chode even went further to demonstrate on the police how he grabbed her, and said they were constantly arguing.

At this point the police knew he killed her and probably weren’t wasting their time with any other suspects. They were looking for a reason to arrest him for anything, knowing they would eventually get him on the murder. He gave that to them on a silver platter by admitting that he grabbed her and prevented her from making a phone call to her sister, who she had previously told that Greg was abusive.

The crazy part to me that I don’t get, is that on August 19 Greg came into the police station WITH Kylee’s sister for an interview. And this idiot once again incriminated himself in an attempt to defend himself, by telling police that he pushed Kylee on the ground, she hit her head, and that he hit the phone out of her hand while she was attempting to call someone to report his abusive behavior.

He basically described witness intimidation and domestic assault and battery on a pregnant woman, so they charged him with that.

This is almost exactly what they did with Brian Walshe. They knew he killed Ana Walshe as soon as he started talking to them and detailing his suspicious behavior in the days after she disappeared. They didn’t have enough to charge him with murder, but they did charge him with lying to police in a murder investigation. Normally this wouldn’t be a large bail, but the judge also knew what was going on and set bail at $500K after that corrupt ghoul Lynn Beland laid out the facts of the case.

Later on that day Groom finally broke, admitted to killing Kylee, and told police where he could find her body on his family’s property.

Once again, the State Police showed that they are fully capable of doing proper investigations and using the SERT team to look for clues. Just not when the obvious signs point to a couple decorated dudes inside Brian Albert’s house.

Gregory Groom groomed a high school girl who has been through a lot of trauma, impregnated her, denied it, and remained in a volatile and abusive relationship with her for 6 months. If what he’s saying about her lying about previous abuse months ago was true, he still chose to stay with her. He admittedly put hands on her and tried to control her by preventing her from texting others about his behavior. He didn’t want the world to know what he was really like, and preferred the fantasy she was posting on social media. Finally he snapped. And since she could probably snap him like a twig in a fight, he used a knife to kill her. Expect a self defense case if he tries bringing this one to trial.
