Canton Coverup Part 540: Sean Goode Placed On Leave After Misconduct Allegations, Possible Ties To Michael Proctor Text Messages

Canton Police Sergeant Sean Goode but was placed on administrative leave today after allegations of misconduct were made against him on October 24. According to the press release from the police department, the town of Canton engaged an independent investigator to look into the allegations against Goode after they were notified.

It’s unclear what exactly the allegations are, and rumors are circulating that it has to do with text messages from Michael Proctor. Although this is unconfirmed, it is noteworthy that Proctor’s lawyer quit on him on October 21 after the contents of his text messages were revealed. Three days later the Canton Police Department was alerted by someone over allegations of misconduct. It’s still unknown exactly what Proctor said on the messages, but sources claim that the text messages were racist, homophobic, and contained intimate images as well as confidential information about sexual assault victims.

Sean Goode graduated from Canton High School in 1998. The same year Jill Daniels and Courtney Proctor graduated. He is friends with them to this day, as none of them ever had any desire to leave Canton.

He knew all of the McAlberts, worked with Kevin Albert, and on the morning of January 29, 2022 he was working dispatch at CPD as the patrol supervisor when the call came in that John O’Keefe’s body was on Brian Albert’s lawn. He was at the computer desk when Brian Higgins arrived at dispatch at 1:30 AM, but both he and Higgins claimed they didn’t speak to each other.

Goode took Kerry Roberts’ 5 AM non-emergency call and Jen McCabe’s 6 AM 911 call alerting him that the body was at 34 Fairview Road, but wrote down that the scene of the death was 32 Fairview Road, and intentionally kept Brian Albert’s name out of it. When he was asked about this by David Yannetti he denied putting 32 Fairview in his report and was incredibly evasive.

Goode was the third officer on the scene, after Officers Saraf and Mullaney, arriving at 6:15 AM. He said Karen Read was acting hysterical and seemed cold, so he allowed her to sit in his car. Eight minutes later Jennifer McCabe Googled “hos long to die in cold,” just like she did at 2:27 AM, but claimed that she only did so because Karen Read asked her to. It’s unclear how Read could do this if she was in the back of Goode’s car, and McCabe was outside.

Goode and Michael Lank were the only officers who went inside Brian Albert’s house. Neither of them asked to look around. Neither of them applied for a search warrant, despite finding a dead police officer on the lawn who was only wearing one shoe and seemed underdressed.

Sgt. Goode’s initial report contained this image of the berm, near where John’s body was found.

Notice there were no pieces of taillight or a shoe.

Later on his report was updated with this image, after Ken Berkowitze “found” a piece of taillight there on February 4.

Sean Goode knew the people involved in the murder of John O’Keefe his entire life. He might not have intentionally participated in a coverup, but because he knew them for so long he would logically find it harder to believe that any of them could be capable of covering up a murder. His close friend Courtney Proctor’s brother was appointed the lead detective, and his friend Jill Daniels’ nephew Colin Albert fled the scene at 12:33 AM. This is not the face of a person who is going to go out of his way to disrupt the narrative that Karen Read alone was responsible for John O’Keefe’s death.

If you’re keeping track at home, the following law enforcement officers have had their careers affected by their behavior directly related to the John O’Keefe investigation:

  • Michael Proctor – fired
  • Brian Tully – rehomed
  • Yuri Bukhenik – rehomed
  • David Dicicco – rehomed
  • Kevin Albert – suspended
  • Ken Berkowitz – retired, dead
  • Paul Gallagher – retired
  • Helena Rafferty – retired
  • Brian Albert – retired, moved
  • Kelly Dever – resigned in disgrace
  • Michael Cox – possible Brady list for lying

This isn’t normal.

A source told me last night that Proctor was checked into Maclean Hospital in Belmont for mental health treatment last night. It’s not confirmed that this is true, but it would make sense. Proctor is the only cop on that list who has had any sort of real punishment thus far. But he knows who did what, and at some point he’s gonna look around and realize that it’s not fair that he and he alone is the only person being held accountable for covering up John O’Keefe’s murder.
