Canton Coverup Part 548: Greg Connor Interview With Katherine Loftus Shows Us That He Is The Anti-Reform Candidate For DA

Trust fund nepo baby Katherine Loftus conducted one of the worst interviews of all time with Michael Morrissey’s hand picked successor for DA, Greg Connor. Here’s the entire thing if you can stomach it:

Here’s my thoughts and analysis:

  • She doesn’t shut up and has no idea how to conduct an interview. No one is there to listen to you, Katherine. But she knows that, and she invites people like Greg Connor on her show so that people will tune in and be forced to listen to her. Her questions are several minutes long and make Jason Broyles look like Walter Cronkite.

  • She has note cards that she never once looks at, likely because they have nothing written on them.
  • Greg Connor name drops Michael Chesna’s family several times, because he knows they are great people and is exploiting his relationship with them for political gain.
  • He was motivated to run because all of the other candidates were talking about change and reform, and someone had to emerge as the candidate who promised to maintain the status quo.
  • Greg Connor is already a victim because his family is gonna be harassed, and he volunteers at a homeless shelter in Dorchester that has been getting attacked on social media because he’s running for office. He offered no evidence of this, but making yourself a victim of Turtleboy is all corrupt government officials in Norfolk County know how to do.
  • His Dad is a retired judge and a former prosecutor in the Norfolk DA’s Office, he is 4th generation Norfolk County and has lived there his entire life. In other words, he will maintain the status quo because he doesn’t know how the world functions outside of corrupt Norfolk County.
  • He and Michael Morrissey “didn’t agree on everything,” but didn’t specify what that was.
  • He is disgusted by attacks on his coworkers who didn’t have it coming (victim witness advocate), simply because I criticized Steve Nelson’s involvement in tipping off witnesses to destroy their devices the day before a preservation order was put in place.
  • After Michael Baden’s autopsy report on Sandra Birchmore revealed she was murdered, he would’ve done an inquest instead of charging Matthew Farwell with murder, because the original ME’s report that was influenced by John Fanning’s “investigation” said she committed suicide. He failed to discuss (because he wasn’t asked by Loftus) why the State Police were so quick to call it a suicide, why Nicholas Guarino didn’t read any of the 32K deleted texts between Farwell and Birchmore, or why they didn’t prosecute a man who admitted he raped Birchmore when she was 15.
  • He would’ve done things differently with the Karen Read trial, and after the trial he decided to stay and reform the system by “creating a group” before going to the grand jury. But he didn’t say what he would’ve done, or what the “group” is doing differently now.
  • Morrissey asked him to watch the Read case and said that “we’re not even close to second degree” murder.
  • He says he was never asked to take on the Read case and didn’t refuse to prosecute her, and said the Vanity Fair article which said that was inaccurate. He had no explanation for why his boss had to beg the State Senate President for $1 million to hire Hank Brennan to do a job that the taxpayers pay the DA’s Office to do.
  • She thinks Hank Brennan did a good job after admitting Lally got 9 to vote guilty
  • Connor thinks it’s a good thing Brennan was paid so much because the NCDAO was accused of corruption, and since he worked for the DA’s Office he could be accused of being corrupt but Hank couldn’t be accused of corruption despite the fact that he would be getting paid more by the same DA’s Office and previously represented Whitey Bulger and took $20K cash in drug money from Leigha Genduso.
  • Connor said that no other DA’s Office would’ve prosecuted Karen Read, and Loftus responded by asking “isn’t that the problem?” Except instead of articulating what the problem was (the fact that the NCDAO prosecutes embarrassing, unwinnable cases that no other DA’s Office would), Loftus then ranted about herself for several minutes, reminding the audience that she’s a lawyer who knows other lawyers who all agree that Beverly Cannone is the greatest judge of all time, and completely forgot what the question was.

  • Connor said there was a “collection of mistakes” (mistake, after mistake, after mistake) in the Karen Read case, including the wrong officers interviewing people, interviews not being recorded, and issues with evidence. He then blamed it on the rolling rally and didn’t explain how, as DA, he would prevent “mistakes” like this from happening.
  • He said the rolling rally was emblematic of a loss of control by the DA’s Office in not protecting the witnesses, but didn’t even attempt to think about why 200 people showed up to protest outside the homes of witnesses (on public streets) in the first place. Had he done so he would’ve had to admit that the people were there because they were protesting the DA’s Office failure to properly investigate a murder.
  • Connor said he should’ve done more for the witnesses, while ignoring the fact that Chris Albert and Jennifer McCabe had the DA’s Office on speed dial and annoyed them so much that the DA decided to put me in jail for witness intimidation and tried prosecuting people for rubber duckies. Katherine then spent the next 3 minutes talking about herself, while going off on a rant about how the only reason people were attracted to this case was because Karen Read was good looking, not because Jennifer McCabe Googled “hos long to die in the cold” at 2:27 AM.
  • Both Katherine and Connor had “concerns” with judges who didn’t grant restraining orders against me for Chris Albert and Jennifer McCabe.
  • Connor said that the only thing the witnesses did wrong, was be a witness. He made no mention of the fact that they destroyed their phones, didn’t come out of the house, didn’t report a dead body on the lawn, didn’t see or hear a man being murdered outside, had group chats where they got their lies straight, deleted their phone calls and Google searches, lied to the FBI about their identities and phone calls, and changed their stories over time in order to frame an innocent woman.

  • Connor says the DA’s Office should’ve looked into charging me with witness intimidation earlier on, even though Morrissey’s emails to the AGO show that he tried and failed to have them charge me with witness intimidation because Michael Proctor and Chris Albert wouldn’t stop crying.
  • Connor compared what FKR supporters did to gangs who threaten to kill witnesses.
  • Connor complained about the federal investigation for questioning the witnesses and making them feel uneasy, and unsure about why they were being questioned by the same people who went after Whitey Bulger. He then brushed the whole thing off by saying there were no indictments and that the whole thing was ended after Trump was elected, as if that means they didn’t discover anything nefarious at all.
  • Katherine complained that the feds didn’t do enough to protect the witnesses from public criticism.
  • They briefly spoke about Michael Proctor, but only that he wanted to hide Proctor from the jury in the Brian Walshe case because the whole world knew what a scumbag he was, but they ONLY knew this because of the federal investigation that he mocked as pointless earlier in the interview, which led to all of his text messages being made public.
  • Katherine blamed the Feds for not telling the NCDAO that Proctor was a scumbag so that they could remove him, as if that was their job, instead of the DA’s job to vet their officers.

Just to be clear, there were no “mistakes,” in the investigation of John O’Keefe’s murder. All of the “mistakes” were purposeful and designed to coverup for the people who were guilty of murder. All this interview showed was that Greg Connor is the establishment’s candidate because he has zero desire to institute any sort of real reforms, and will only talk to state-friendly media like Katherine Loftus. At no point did they discuss any of the following during the interview:

  • Plans to reform the relationship between the DA and the MSP Detective’s unit assigned to the office
  • Why Nicholas Guarino can never find really important text messages that alter the entire investigation in murder cases
  • Why it took the federal government going through Michael Proctor’s phone before they realized he was corrupt
  • The complete debacle of the 8/25/23 hostage video
  • Whether or not he continues to prosecute people for rubber duckies and other First Amendment protected activity
  • If he believes John O’Keefe was hit by a car

There’s plenty more they never talked about, but you get the point. A vote for Greg Connor is a vote for a younger, slightly less fat version of Michael Morrissey. Nothing will change with him, which is why all of the Morrissey backers are backing Connor. But sadly, he will likely win if 5 other candidates stay in the race and split the vote.

  1. A few thoughts.
Aidan, you are going to lose your voice.
Katherine Loftus is an annoying, narcissistic, horrible interviewer.
    Greg Connor is a HACK.
He will absolutely promote the legacy of corruption in the Norfolk County DA’s office.
It sounds like he will be elected which is devastating.
If that happens, Deitch needs to go back to his former job and start making things happen on that end.
It’s time to drain the swamp once and for all.

  2. Your blog is a constant source of inspiration for me. Your passion for your subject matter is palpable, and it’s clear that you pour your heart and soul into every post. Keep up the incredible work!

  3. Save your breath
    Connor already won.
Hopefully FBI will find out how much he knows and when did he know it.
