Vanity Fair Fires Reporter Brittany Romano After Laughing At Murder Trial Of Childhood Friend Lindsay Clancy

 

The Lindsay Clancy trial has arguably become bigger news than the Karen Read trials, and considering the fact that it involves a mother killing her 3 children, it should be treated in a sober and serious manner. Unfortunately what should be a very important discussion on mental health treatment and postpartum psychosis has turned into a circus, and this woman has become the poster child for it:

Meet Brittany Romano, a New York City-based editor and “journalist” who claims to have more than a decade of editorial experience working for Forbes, Glamour, Teen Vogue, Elle, USA Today, Insider, Vanity Fair, and Parade.

She sued A360 Media for discrimination because she has ADHD and is a woman in 2020 after they changed her byline from writer to admin. The lawsuit was thrown out because it was baseless.

Romano has been attending the Clancy trial with a media pass for Vanity Fair, and yesterday when the camera panned towards her she looked directly at the camera and smiled, in a now viral moment that has upset a lot of people.

This ding dong is everything that is wrong with the Lindsay Clancy trial. Regardless of your opinion on Clancy’s guilt or mental health issues, it has become a way for these pick me influencers to use the murder of 3 children to get attention for themselves. There is ZERO reason to smile or laugh during any of this. Yet Brittany and the blonde sitting behind her were laughing and smiling at the camera, soaking up every minute of attention they could get from the front row seats of this high profile murder trial.

The blonde leaning in and making sure the cameras caught her too is a woman named Karen Goldberg, who has also been using the trial as a way to jump start her YouTube channel. She escorts Clancy’s attorney Kevin Reddington into court, treats him like a celebrity, and asks him meaningless questions about his favorite movies and pets outside of court.

She made a word salad post this morning claiming that she is attending these hearings to “bring light to PPD and PPP and mental health in general and how important of a subject this is and needs to be talked about and mental illness needs to be front and center in this country because we are so far behind.”

She claims it was an awkward capture, but she’s clearly laughing with Romano and leaning in so that the camera can see her.

Either way, escorting Kevin Reddington into court and asking about his favorite pets for YouTube clout doesn’t seem to be how you bring light to PPD.

On the way out of court yesterday Goldberg and Romano made sure to run right over to Kevin Reddington, Goldberg put her arm around him as if she was his personal escort, and they began asking him really important questions about PPP.

Just kidding! They asked him if he was a Taylor Swift fan and what his pump up songs were for court when he’s representing a woman whose charged with murdering her 3 children. Ya know, because this is basically a WWE match.

 

Romano handled the heat differently. She got in her car and attempted to explain her viral moment.

In the parking lot she told a reporter that she was laughing because she grew up with Lindsay Clancy and that Clancy looked at her. However, she says that looking at her old friend like that wasn’t what made her giggle, it was because her Dad who works at Quinnipiac saw her on Court TV and said she looked bad on other days, so Hillary Duff’s stylist told her to pull her hair back and smile on purpose.

Because that’s something that makes sense.

She posted a picture on her Instagram, which she has since taken down, purporting to be her and Clancy as children.

Last night she attempted to do damage control by slurring through her perpetual drunk white girl voice, claiming that she doesn’t work for Vanity Fair, calling out the haters online, and telling the world how she didn’t take all of her adderall today.

 

Except her press pass clearly says Vanity Fair.

Vanity Fair has since announced that they did indeed hire her to write a personal essay about the trial and her experience growing up with Clancy, but were parting ways with her due to her viral shameful behavior:

“We were interested in the prospect of a personal essay by Brittany Romano about her experience growing up with Lindsay Clancy,’ a Vanity Fair spokesman said.

‘Yesterday, after clear conflicts with our editorial standards and processes, we informed Romano that we were not moving forward with her essay and informed the court that she is no longer credentialed by Vanity Fair.’

Rightfully so. How a woman this immature has had so many jobs at so many high profile publications is a sad statement about the state of modern day journalism.

Prior to being fired by Vanity Fair, Romano was using her press pass to tweet out baseless conspiracy theories about Patrick Clancy – who lost his entire family in the blink of an eye – of murdering his children.

 

Not suprisingly she befriended fellow LOL cow Jessica Machado on the few days when Machado pretended to be a real reporter and showed up for court. When someone pointed out how disgraceful it was to have unserious people like Romano and Machado covering this important trial, she promptly told them to “shut the fuck up.”

 

It was also revealed that Romano had previously exhibited other attention seeking behavior while fan girling for Luigi Mangione, after she reported Mangione’s online fundraiser, not because it was supporting a murderer, but because it “doxxed” her by leaving a mean comment about her.

 

Just like she did yesterday, Romano took to social media to post a video explaining how everyone was obsessed with her.

 

Last night on Twitter she made a post crying about how mean people were being to her in her inbox, telling her to kill herself.

 

Except the messages didn’t say anything about suicide, but rather were telling her not to attend the trial anymore since she clearly wasn’t taking it seriously and was offending a lot of people.

Apparently being told you are tacky is the same thing as telling you to kill yourself, and it would make her a real victim if someone told her to kill herself. Ya know, kind of like she did to others on IG in response to the negative blowback.

 

She then proceeded to brag about how all the attention was “boosting my analytics.”

 

And just like Karen Goldberg, she has also been posing for selfies with Reddington like this murder trial is all a big game.

 

Another woman also claims that Romano has bullied her before in the past.

 

 

But this woman also fails to pass the wackjob test because she is a huge fan girl for Luigi Mangione.

My thoughts on Clancy remain the same as they were 3.5 years ago when I first discussed it on Timcast. I will never believe that this woman wasn’t suffering from a severe mental illness that turned her into a monster. What the appropriate thing to do with a person like that who murders her 3 innocent children is a whole different story. What I do know for sure is that Patrick Clancy is not only completely innocent, he has been victimized and traumatized in ways that none of us could ever begin to imagine after finding all of his children slaughtered. He is stronger than any man I’ve ever seen, and he had the dignity of supporting his wife despite what she did to their children. The people who are spreading baseless conspiracy theories about him killing his kids and framing his wife on social media, are all degenerates who look and act like Brittany Romano, and they  should ask themselves, “what if I’m wrong?” Because they are, and their harmful accusations about this poor, innocent victim, is one of the lowest things I’ve ever seen on the Internet.
