Canton Coverup Part 511: Karen Read Trial Day 6 – Ian Whiffin, Jennifer McCabe

• Auntie Bev addressed the Albert rock which was mysteriously placed on the lawn at 34 Fairview Road for the jury’s visit there on Friday, telling jurors to disregard the rock. There seems to be no interest in who put the rock there or why the multiple state police detectives at the scene allowed the rock to be there for the viewing.

• In our first cross examination from Bob Alessi he turned out to be an excellent addition to the team, meticulously taking apart Ian Whiffin’s testimony and using it to prove Karen Read’s innocence.
• Unlike other witnesses, Whiffin was direct in his answers and said that John O’Keefe’s phone could’ve been inside the house.
• Whiffin admitted that if John O’Keefe took 84 steps as his report claims O’Keefe did, then that would put him inside Brian Albert’s house.
• The Commonwealth has boxed themselves in with their new theory from Aperture of John being struck by a car at 12:31 and Karen being back at his house by 12:36, which is impossible, especially in the snow.
• The new theory the Commonwealth has completely contradicts Joe Paul’s testimony. They claim that John O’Keefe was struck in the arm, and then wobbled around for 20 seconds, read a text message from Jen McCabe, and then fell down and made sure his phone was underneath his body. There is no way Hank Brennan actually believes this fantasy happened.
• Ian Whiffin repeatedly called Nicholas Guarino “Nick,” and Hank Brennan “Hank,” which was ironic considering the day before Hank suggested that Dr. Wolfe was biased towards Alan Jackson for calling him “Alan.”
• Whiffin testified that he did an experiment by putting a phone in a freezer for 15 minutes to see how much it dropped in temperature. It dropped 50 degrees, but he didn’t know how cold the freezer was, and didn’t know how cold the temperature in Canton was on January 29, 2022. This is significant because John O’Keefe’s phone only dropped 7 degrees between 1:30 and 6 AM, which means it couldn’t have been outside.
• Whiffin didn’t know what freezing temperature in Fahrenheit is.
• Whiffin testified on Monday that he drove the same route John and Karen did on January 29 while holding his phone – a test I also conducted – to see if it would register him going up and down 3 flights of stairs like John’s phone did. When Alessi asked him what the results of this extremely unscientific study were, Brennan objected, a side bar was called, and Whiffin wasn’t allowed to answer the question. So you have to assume it didn’t show him going up any stairs.

• Whiffin testified that he used his influence at his company (Cellebrite) to manually removed Jennifer McCabe’s 2:27 Google search for “hos long to die in cold” on their latest software update. This is the digital equivalence of removing a bloody knife from evidence.
• Whiffin admitted that when you use Cellebrite’s competitor Axiom to download the contents of Jennifer McCabe’s phone the 2:27 deleted Google search still comes up. Whiffin admitted that Axiom is a credible and legitimate company.
• Alessi methodically ripped Whiffin apart without ever raising his voice or coming across as accusatory. The complete opposite of Hank Brennan.
• Whiffin made sure to answer “yes,” while Hank Brennan was objecting, when Alessi asked him if he understood the significance of Jennifer McCabe Googling “hos long to die in cold” at 2:27 AM. It was struck by the Judge, but the jury still heard it.
• Whiffin conceded that when John’s phone was used at 12:31 it required human manipulation to use face recognition. If John was unconscious it means that the people inside Brian Albert’s house used his face to open the phone.
• Whiffin conceded that there was reasonable doubt about the Google search, which Alessi walked him into. Reasonable doubt wasn’t stressed as much in the first trial but will be in the retrial.
• Jennifer McCabe’s direct examination began at 2:27 PM! She clearly has been coached to come across as more of a stereotypical suburban soccer Mom. She kept stressing that she has four daughters, coaches their teams, and was friends with John through her kids.
• Jen got her hair colored, appeared to fix the half tooth from last trial, and wore a cross like Caitlin Albert and Katie McLaughlin did last trial. These people are such despicable con-artists.
• McCabe claims she loved John O’Keefe, despite the fact that she referred to him as a “man in the snow” on the 911 call, and we’ve never seen a picture of them together.
• Brennan corrected McCabe when she had a Freudian slip by stating what Kerry Roberts was thinking, proving once again that Kerry is Jen’s puppet.
• Unlike Mike Camerano, McCabe came across as not genuinely loving John O’Keefe. Her whole act just sounds forced, like she’s trying to prove to the jury that she loved John so much and would never hurt him!
• Auntie Bev ruled that she would be allowing ARCCA not only to testify to what they did in the first trial, but also to respond to Jud Welcher’s power point presentation showing his theory of the crash, which we haven’t seen yet. However, before doing that she tongue lashed the defense because their witness used the encrypted Signal app and deleted text messages from his phone that he was under no court order not to delete. She obviously just likes creating drama, which is why she allowed all the hearings and ARCCA drama in the first place, knowing full well she was going to allow them to testify.
