Fake Hate Crime Debunked After Girls Who Said Racist Boys Cut Off Her Dreadlocks At Karen Pence’s School Recants

Last week the blue checkmark brigade was up in arms over media reports that a 12 year old black girl had her dreadlocks cut off by three racist white boys on the playground, at a school where Mike Pence’s wife is a teacher.

As usual, no evidence was given, the story wasn’t confirmed, and there was little context. But it didn’t stop people like “Bishop” Talbert Swan (a fake bishop out of Springfield who doesn’t like paying taxes and spreads hatred on Twitter all day), and media outlets like CNN from posting it as legitimate, confirmed news. We’ve written about Bishop Swan before. He spends most of his time calling women ho’s, trash, mayonaise dripping, Becky, and other racially charged language.

People like this believed it was true because they want to believe racism is everywhere, but more importantly, the girl attends the school where Karen Pence teaches. That’s the real reason it was news.

Politicians like Rashida Tlaib ran with the story as well.

This is the new logic of the democratic party. Believe everyone’s story, so long as “their truth” is used to attack someone you don’t like. It’s why they believed Christine Blasey-Ford, it’s why they believed Nathan Phillips, it’s why they believed Jussie Smollett, and it’s why they believed this girl.

But just like so many incidents before this one, it turned out to be a lie.

WHDHA 12-year-old African-American girl who claimed three white classmates pinned her down and cut her dreadlocks has admitted the claims were fabricated, her school said.

“We can now confirm that the student who accused three of her classmates of assault has acknowledged that the allegations were false,” Stephen Danish, head of Immanuel Christian School, said in a statement Monday.

Last week, the girl, Amari Allen, told CNN that three white boys at the school in Springfield, Virginia, pinned her to a playground slide. She claimed the boys held her hands behind her back, covered her mouth and clipped her hair, calling it “ugly” and “nappy.” Her family issued an apology in a statement released Monday.

“To those young boys and their parents, we sincerely apologize for the pain and anxiety these allegations have caused,” the Allen family said.

“To the administrators and families of Immanuel Christian School, we are sorry for the damage this incident has done to trust within the school family and the undue scorn it has brought to the school. To the broader community, who rallied in such passionate support for our daughter, we apologize for betraying your trust. We understand there will be consequences, and we’re prepared to take responsibility for them,” the girl’s family said.

“We know that it will take time to heal, and we hope and pray that the boys, their families, the school and the broader community will be able to forgive us in time.”

At this point it’s almost criminal if you blindly believe stories like this without asking for evidence. The people who spread misinformation like this are never held accountable, they never apologize, and they won’t stop to question the next fake hate crime either. They profit off of the idea that racism is everywhere and it’s all Trump’s fault. They will blindly retweet anything that goes along with their confirmation bias.

Ironically it’s the people who suggest that these stories are fake that are labeled as “conspiracy theorists,” and are often shadow banned or blacklisted altogether from Twitter and Facebook. Thus it makes it harder for anyone to question these stories openly, or combat them with actual evidence.

This is why we say that the mainstream media is the enemy of the American people. Because they seek to divide us along racial lines by pushing a narrative that Trump is inspiring massive amounts of hate crimes. People like Tim Wise and Talbert Swan make money as grifters, CNN gets better ratings, and Rashida Tlabi gets elected to office. They lie because it’s profitable, and because they know there are no consequences for it.

Fake hate crimes are something that I take personally, because we’re often accused of being racist for questioning stories like this. I care much, much more about politicians spreading lies like this than I do about Trump making a phone call to the President of a country I don’t care about.

P.S. It looks like the people who spread this lie will either ignore the new news altogether, or do this.
