Jim Farris and Jill Daniels were both charged this week in Stoughton District Court with Assault and Battery three months after they violently assaulted an award winning journalist who was attempting to get a meal of food at CF McCarthy’s.
The Clerk Magistrate’s hearing took place on August 22, and normally the magistrate decides within 24 hours whether or not there is probable cause to issue criminal charges. It was really a no-brainer since the entire thing was recorded on video, there were thousands of witnesses watching, and Jim Farris himself admitted it was against the law.
But because this is Norfolk County, and it’s the same courthouse that waited 8 months to tell the Canton 9 they wouldn’t be charged with witness intimidation for peacefully protesting outside of D&E Pizza, clerk James Flanagan (who has been there since the beginning of time) needed 5 weeks to figure out that there was probable cause for assault and battery. At the closed door hearing on August 22 Farris didn’t bring an attorney and didn’t even attempt to put up a defense. Jill Daniels brought Joe Krowski’s geriatric father with her as an attorney, and he victim blamed me, claiming that I instigated the whole thing. He failed to point out that his client wasn’t there at the beginning, but intentionally showed up 15 minutes later, solely to assault me while knowing that the entire thing was being live streamed.
I interrupted my vacation in Truro to attend the hearing because I didn’t trust that they wouldn’t pull shenanigans if I didn’t attend. The police report was filled with redactions, and Canton Police interviewed Colin Albert, who lied and told them that I was harassing his family on my way to eat a meal of food. The police report also showed that Chris Albert REFUSED to cooperate with Canton Police, who asked him to help deescalate the situation.
Keep in mind, this is a guy with a “Support Canton Police” sign in his window, refusing to offer any assistance to that very same police department. He egged on the entire thing, one of his employees and a family member assaulted me outside of his business, and he threatened to smash my head on the cement. His family also murdered a police officer, so clearly he is as anti-police as you can possibly get. He just likes it when corrupt cops protect his family and frame innocent people for the crimes he commits.
The best part is that both Daniels and Farris will be arraigned on October 11 at 9 AM.
This is exactly one year after I was arrested (to the date and hour) at my kids’ bus stop. Neither of these goons will likely ever spend a day in jail for this, as the system is lenient to everyone as long as they don’t challenge institutional power. Even though Jim Farris is no stranger to being a defendant in this courthouse.
It’s kind of sad that of all the McAlberts, the only ones to be charged with any crimes so far are Jill Daniels and Jim Farris, but I guess we’ll have to take what we can get for now.
