Pilar Aguiar is the New Bedford woman who bravely took the law into her own hands yesterday when she saw a viral video of career criminal Miguel Martinez beating his dog at his house on Cottage Street. After becoming frustrated with the lack of response from the NBPD she went to the man’s house, banged on his door, and blockaded his driveway until he called the police on her. Like many others, she cannot fathom how this man has not been arrested yet, and she agree to do an interview with me today and discuss it. During our interview we called the NBPD and spoke with Lt. Rodriguez, who is leading the investigation into this matter. In fairness, he did say that charges were being sought, but that it was an ongoing investigation and he couldn’t comment further. However, we’ve all seen the evidence and it’s clear that he’s guilty and should be in jail right now. Had Pilar not gone to his house and live streamed her act of civil disobedience this would likely be ignored. Not they’re going to have to act and have promised a press release today about the investigation.
Here’s the interview.
