Canton Coverup Part 487: Courtney And Elizabeth Proctor Speak Up Again “For The First Time” In Defense Of Michael Proctor, Claim Karen Read Is Guilty Despite Gag Order

Elizabeth Proctor, the wife of disgraced State Police Detective Michael Proctor, spoke out in defense of her husband today with a statement she released to friendly media. Her comments are in italics, followed by my thoughts.

In light of the egregiously false statements from Karen Read and her defense team—both inside and outside the courtroom—Michael Proctor’s family is speaking out for the first time to address the ongoing misrepresentations of his character and calling for the public to actually look at the facts of this case.

Michael Proctor’s family is not speaking out for the first time. Lizzie and Courtney Proctor are speaking publicly, as they have been doing for the last 3 years. This is a post Liz Proctor made on Instagram on the day his vile text messages were read out loud in court.

Michael Proctor’s character has not been “misrepresented,” and the public has already looked at the facts of this case, showing that he lied in reports, lied to the grand jury, and wrote indefensible things to his friends and coworkers in regards to his investigation into the death of John O’Keefe.

On January 29, 2022, fourteen minutes before his on-call shift was due to end, Michael Proctor was assigned to an unattended death case, and his life was forever changed. Proctor and the other investigators followed the evidence, and a jury of the defendant’s peers indicted Read, and only Read, for the murder of Officer John O’Keefe.

Michael Proctor and other detectives did not “follow the evidence.” They actually made things up in reports in order NOT to follow the evidence. For example, when Proctor interviewed DPW director Michael Trotta (after Read had already been charged) he claimed Trotta told him that the Canton DPW didn’t plow Fairview Road on the morning of January 29, 2022, and memorialized that alleged statement from Trotta in his report.

This was a blatant lie, which Trotta confirmed when he testified. His plow driver Brian Loughran did his first plow of Fairview Road at 2:30 AM. Proctor lied in his report about Fairview Road not being plowed specifically because he did NOT want to follow the evidence by speaking with an eye witness – Brian “Lucky” Loughran.

Despite this, the family says, Michael Proctor has been defamed, maligned, and falsely labeled corrupt by the alleged murderer, her family, her defense team, and a mob of her followers.  Through unrelenting propaganda and disinformation, the defense is trying this case in the court of public opinion and painting Karen Read as the victim with the hope of tainting a jury pool.

Michael Proctor hasn’t been defamed by anyone. His reputation is destroyed because of his own behavior, and his enabling wife is trying desperately to fix what is forever broken.

“At the end of the day, a beloved police officer and honorable man was killed. The Prosecution believes it’s an open and shut case, and the defense knows this, too. So, their tactic is to put my husband, the lead investigator, on trial for sending texts on his personal phone to his friends and family,“ said Proctor’s wife, Elizabeth Proctor. “The Karen Read defense team is unabashedly creating false narratives and distracting the public and potential jurors from clear-cut evidence.”

It was recently announced that all aspects of the federal investigation involving this case has been closed.

Nobody with a brain thinks this is an open and shut case against Karen Read, especially her own defense team. Their strategy is to show the jury what a corrupt person her husband is and highlight what a shoddy investigation he ran. Both are very easily done because of his choices. The text messages were given to Read by the FBI because they know she didn’t kill John O’Keefe. But I didn’t need his disgusting text messages to realize how corrupt and unprofessional he was. That was just the cherry on the piece of shit Sunday.

Michael Proctor, who has an unblemished police record in his 12 years with the Massachusetts State Police, testified that the texts on his personal phone were unprofessional and regrettable, but certainly didn’t affect the integrity of the investigation.

His text messages said that Brian Albert wouldn’t “catch any shit” because he was a Boston cop. He talked with another detective about how to manipulate medical examiners to give the cause of death determination that Proctor preferred. His text messages weren’t just disgusting, they indicated that the investigation itself was compromised from the beginning.

“Michael—and so many others in his line of work—see horrible things every day and may at times need to vent personally. He saw a fellow officer die a horrible, tragic death. Who among us has not said something regrettable in moments of stress, shock, or sadness? And how would you feel if the contents of your personal phone were questionably released to the public without full context?” said Courtney Proctor, Proctor’s sister.

Courtney Proctor is an objectively bad person who enables her brother’s disgusting behavior. She justifies his abhorrent messages by claiming that he was so upset about John O’Keefe’s death that he had to vent. The death of John O’Keefe put him in a state of mind where he had to make jokes about looking for naked pictures of Karen Read on her phone 6 months later. It was the “stress, shock, and sadness” for a man he never met that made him do that. But I’d love to hear more about the context of making balloon knot jokes. Or better yet, maybe Courtney can explain the context of her texting her brother and telling him that she hoped Karen Read committed suicide.

It’s not the first time she’s spoken out publicly either.

Since Courtney Proctor is finally “speaking out,” you would think it would be a good opportunity for her to explain the “context” of her text message to her brother on the day Karen Read was charged with manslaughter, relaying a message from Julie Albert offering her brother a gift (bribe) for not interviewing 17 year old witness Colin Albert.

The ring bearer in Courtney Proctor’s wedding was Colin Albert – someone she and her family would protect at all costs if he were ever in serious trouble.

Proctor’s wife says the family has been tormented for years because of the case, and it’s time to focus on the real perpetrator.

“Unfortunately, we know that by speaking out, more harassment will be unleashed on our family. But we can no longer stand by and silently watch Michael’s character be attacked and disparaged so unfairly. After exhaustive investigations at both the state and federal level, and a grand jury, only one person has been charged with a crime, the defendant Karen Read,” said Elizabeth Proctor. 

All Liz Proctor knows how to do is victimize herself, despite being an aggressive mean girl bully to anyone who has spoken out in defense of Karen Read for the last 3 years. She uses her two children as pawns, hiding behind them, despite the fact that no one has ever threatened them, in order to falsely portray peaceful supporters of Karen Read as vicious psychology  who want to hurt children.

No one has ever attacked their children. Ever. No one sent her pictures of their children, said that they hoped her children were diagnosed with cancer, or threatened to kidnap them. Like Hamas, she hides behind children when people take online shots at her, because they are nothing but pawns she can use to insulate her husband from legitimate criticism.

In May of 2023 Liz Proctor called the employer of a woman who lives and works in western Massachusetts (far from Canton), and demanded that the woman be fired. She didn’t know this woman or know anything about her job performance. She had just seen that the woman had commented on the Turtleboy Facebook page and expressed her opinion that Michael Proctor was corrupt. The woman had never spoken with Liz Proctor or attempted to contact her. She is a single mother, and Liz Proctor tried to take away her ability to earn a living because the woman had the audacity to exercise her First Amendment by expressing her opinions about police corruption.

The voice on the phone was that of Liz Proctor, not Michael, and when I called that number back Liz Proctor picked up.

Liz Proctor is just as bad as Michael Proctor. She protects and enables him, as does his sister and mother. When I wrote about her behavior, and people contacted her employer the same way she contacted this woman’s employer, I was charged with felony witness intimidation for attempting to cause economic and emotional harm to a family member of a witness. She predictably hid behind her children, and told the grand jury that I was threatening to kidnap them – a baseless lie.

It’s not the only time she’s done this either. In March of 2024 the wife of a police officer and a member of a School Committee in western Massachusetts, made a comment about Proctor suggesting that he would take his own life if he found out he was going to be arrested. Liz Proctor once again leaped into action, sending an email out to the School district’s superintendent and asking him to “take action” against the elected official.

Liz Proctor apparently doesn’t understand that the School Committee is actually the boss of the superintendent, but her intent was the same as it was in May of 2023. She protects her husband by, 1) trying to hurt anyone who criticizes him, and 2) using her children to play the victim after the fact.

Lizzie refers to herself as a “police wife,” and lectured the School Committee member about how she is a disgrace to police wives everywhere for not backing up Lizzie’s corrupt husband.

Lizzie’s entire existence revolves around being the wife of a police officer. Without it she has no identity. She cannot fathom a world in which she doesn’t preface her online defense of her husband with “as a law enforcement family,” while pretending that his job is dangerous because he shows up AFTER a murder is committed and begins investigating.

Her father was an FBI agent, her brother is a detective on the Belmont Police Department, and her husband is a State Police detective. If and when he is fired she will have nothing. It’s why she crafted an email to the State legislature in July of 2020 in opposition to the elimination of qualified immunity for cops.

Michael Proctor is too much of a coward to publicly defend himself, because he knows his behavior is indefensible. That’s why it was his wife who did most of the shouting at a NBC reporter who attempted to ask him some questions after the mistrial.

This press release was the Proctor “family’s” big chance to set the record straight about “misinformation” in the media about Michael Proctor. But as usual they added nothing of substance, hid behind children, called Karen Read a murderer, and victimized themselves.

It is ironic that this statement was released just days after Judge Beverly Cannone allowed a motion to all attorneys involved in the Karen Read case, in order to avoid public media saturation that could taint a potential jury pool two weeks before the trial is set to begin. Hank Brennan knows that he is not allowed to speak publicly about the case, and that it would be inappropriate for him to vouch for the credibility of a witness. So he had Lizzie Protor do it for him. Last night sent an email to disgraced Rhode Island news commentator John Depetro, alerting him, of all people, about the incoming statement:

Depetro was fired as a radio host in 2008 for using his family to falsely inflate ratings for his show, which he later blamed on his wife. Liz Proctor will speak with John Depetro, but not legitimate reporters. Lizzie, Michael Morrissey, and Hank Brennan would NEVER dare take live questions from reporters the way Karen Read routinely does. Collectively they have held zero press conferences, and answered zero questions from reporters. Instead they attempt to use their allies on social media to release ridiculous blurbs like this, because they know that any legitimate reporter would have serious questions in response that Lizzie would be unable to answer (see Kathy Curran’s attempt to speak with her).
